DXM question.

I'm actually not that much of heavyweight, I'm literally mad thin and the most I ever took was 820mg which literally had me lost in a world of gray static inside my own head, which was pretty cool I guess. Generally most people it seems need at least 450mg give or take to at least get to the 2nd plateau.

I think I gave the wrong impression,I mean I took 300mg that 1st time and it definitely did stuff, but not really a "trip"(not like DXM is tripping anyways), normally I'd go for about 550mg for a moderate night.

Well I'm just saying, when your parents go to take it and there's not as much as they needed or whatever, it's a big "red flag" for drug abuse. And stealing things you don't really need to does propogate a bad image for drug users in general.

syd, I take your point that it's not tripping in the sense of say, tracers, but hey, if being lost inside your own head/static isn't tripping, then I don't know what is (and I personally get a rather delightful ego death/lack of sex drive, which somehow makes me feel like a much nicer person in general. And i've been told I'm much nicer when dexing)

 

I have to say I've taken circa 12 hits of acid at once and that was a trip, but I still don't know what the fuck dxm is lol.

And the loss of sex drive I find hilarious, I never tried cause I was never horny on DXM but when reading other people's trip reports in their epic failures of trying to get off I was like "hmmm", and tried to get myself off one day when dexing, and it is literally physically impossible.

 

Hah... I can get horny if I watch porn and/or I'm bored, and I CAN jack off... but really, the idea of sex is slightly strange and unsettling when I'm dexing, I don't think I could do anything sexual with another person while on it. A similar thing happens to me on salvia... I get that super sensative prickly feeling, and end up jacking off, even though it's actully slightly scary, just because I end up getting hard from how sensative I am just against my pants. Then I'm like 15 minutes out from smoking the salvia when I finish, and I'm wait, why am I sticky and not wearing pants... again?

I haven't been lucky enough to procure 12 hits of acid at once, (yet), but I know what you mean about it not being a trip in that sense. But whatever it is, I like it.

 

GUAFENESIN MAY NOT KILL YOU, BUT IT IS EXTREMELY UNPLEASANT IN HIGH DOSES.

I'll say that again... once when I took hydrocodone syrup that had guafenesin added, (around 40 mg of hydro) i didn't get any nausea for around 2 hours, but once the nausea set in it was constant for around 8 hours. worst nausea i've ever experienced, and i have a fair amount of experience with opiates so i know it wasn't from the opiates. anything that i would eat would just come right up. i can't imagine how unpleasant it would be on a dxm trip.

my buddy drank a full 8oz bottle of robo that had that shit in it, he also ate 20 robo gels; not once did he get sick. lol I was suprised

god, I popped 20 friday and got NOTHING. I haven't done DXM in nearly 10 months so I figured I'd atleast get SOMETHING, but nope, nothing. :[

 

brand came from a dollar store. lol. no id required , I just got them when I had a cough last week and only eaten maybe 6 total..

wow, that was really pointless and wasteful I should have realized that if erowid says 100-200mg is a light dose then 75mg isn't really going to get me anywhere. i was really stoned so thats probably why i thought i was a good idea.

capsules are easier to get down than the syrup. you definitely DON'T wanna do 500-600 for your first time dose, for me my 2nd time 300 mg was definitely enough to get me into the 2nd/3rd plateau. it lasts 6 hours, so you don't wanna be too far gone your first time not to mention the body load can be pretty heavy even on 300 mg personally.

 

so between 250 and 300 would be smart? and is the trip ever actually enlightening like most psychedelics?

 

it is a potentially useful state of mind, yes. The dissociated state can be dramatically therapeutic and educational.

 

Dude DXM used to be my favorite drug. My usual dose was 360-480mg but i dosed a few times at 600mg and once at 960mg.
I never felt I learned anything while on it, never had a trip that was enlightening like on most other psychedelics. Always just felt fucked up and weird but in an enjoyable way.
