DXM Hangover... 3 days?

I agree with this...I love Delsym. Keeps me up all night though. That's because the polystirex takes longer to, for all intensive purposes lets say dissolve, into your system so less DXM is converted to DXO (DXM = more of a stimulant DXO = more of the stoney feeling)
I don't think that I would do anything else with DXM, but that's just me. And I've always done it at night. I want to do it during the day with a friend

I also used to LOVE the comedown...but I was on Prozac at that time. Yes, I know how dangerous that is to do. I was an idiot kid who got lucky. Anyway, the last two times the comedown has been quite unpleasant, then I get a vaguely "nice" afterglow.

 

I KNOW!!! Its impossible to function though.. Like you couldn't drive up to taco bell on a blunt cruise like it is with mushrooms and acid.. The first time I did acid, me and my cousin(He's 19 and lives in the middle of nowhere..) We drove to taco bell, smoking blunts, and trippin acid.. Whoa.. The thing was it WAS during the day time, and if it had been night time I would have been scared out of the roof.. Fuck driving through forests in pitch black, with a 19 year old driver, were you have no control of the car what-so-ever.. Day trips are just better..

If you do it any time soon tell me what its like, I might do it in a couple weeks.

^ It would be impossible to function...to anyone that isn't tripping I probably look certifiable. I can barely walk on DXM, much less drive. I want to do acid so bad...that sounds awesome

I was thinking about doing it again today but it's already near sunset, and I only have delsym so it would take about an hour to start working. I'll let you know though. If you do it first let me know?

Lol I know, one of my friends had to drive the next morning around nine.. But the thing is that we took 2 and a half 3oz'ers the night before at about midnight.. And he couldn't tell his parents he didn't want to drive.. Thats pretty sketchy. But he ended up doing alright, he said that he was swerving like a drunk man.. But that was the next morning! During the day, its just retarded because you would be endangering yourself and about 10000000 other people.. Haha, plus that would look bad on the news.. "A local person has gotten high on cough syrup and killed 4 people in an accident.." Yeah-no.. Haha

But you haven't done acid yet 0.0 well I guess try to get it, its worth it and far better than dxm with the visuals, and less of the feeling of alcohol poisoning =/ Lol

And I won't be doing it at least for two weeks, I am pretty sure you will do it before me! Haha

Also, speaking of OTC's try diphenhydramine, its in benadryl, and other things.. I say take this medicine called Wal-Som. Its a sleep aid with diphenhydramine.. You won't fall asleep but you don't have to swallow as many god damn pills.. Wal Som has 50mg tabs.. Take about 500mg or 450mg your first time. I would say 500 :3 you aren't functional still.. But as far as OTC's go, its my favorite.. It causes lucid dreams whenever you close your eyes, and the visuals are INSANE! But I can't stress this enough.. HAVE SOMEONE WITH YOU. It is scary as helll and alone on 500mg, you would freak out and call the cops or something.. A friend, woke his mom up and told her they needed and exterminator to come in and kill all the bed bugs.. Or so he says.. I can believe it though..

 

And with the diph, drink A LOT of water, it has a miserable hangover with some people.. Not as bad as alcohol ever.. But the dysfunctional feeling and a headache the next day.. If you hydrate yourself though it won't be bad.. Because thats the whole point, the diph dehydrates the fuck out of you. You gotta drink water.. Lol

I did get acid once...and I know this is dumb..but I lost it. Yeah, I misplaced my acid. I just moved and I don't know anyone who can trip sit with me yet, so I have to wait.

yeah...i might do it tonight. I'm only taking 3oz of Delsym though because I don't have a trip sitter.

Hm...i don't know, I try to use as few OTC's as possible, but thanks for the advice and I'll definitely look into it! I took 4 oxycodones once and had wicked lucid dreams. Never again will I do that.

 

Careful with the green tea--it can interact with certain drugs. Though I don't know if it could interact with DXM. And green tea extract (when taken excessively) can actually damage the liver. I don't think I would compare the effect of DXM on the liver to that of alcohol. The harmful effect of alcohol on the liver is due to a metabolite of alcohol, acetaldehyde. I don't think either DXM itself or any of its metabolites has a similar profile of hepatotoxicity. But alcohol is not acutely toxic to the liver and it doesn't appear that DXM is either (otherwise it would probably be documented). I had a CMP done only a few days after doing over a gram of DXM and my liver enzymes were in the low-normal range. (Though for what it's worth I had another one Friday of last week after I drank so much I passed out the night before, and the enzymes were again completely normal, so maybe they're not a very reliable indicator. They definitely can be elevated in cases of acute, reversible hepatic injury, though, since they're increased in cases of increased hepatocyte death, whether from acute or chronic liver injury.) The liver is by far the most resilient organ we have; it has to be. If you don't overdo it, it will be able to fully recover from injury.

My shrink did once claim that DXM can cause acute renal failure, but I've seen absolutely no evidence of DXM itself doing this. Depending on the DXM-containing product used, though, it could possibly happen. CCCs may be able to cause this.

But 4 oxies? Thats weird I have taken 4 before and didn't have any lucid dreams.. In fact I didn't even remember the entire day pretty much.. I took 5 throught hte whole day with barely any tolerance to opiates.. >.> I took 4 at about 10AM and one more at about 5PM, then crashed at 7PM.. Lol

And no, diph. You have lucid dreams every time you close your eyes.. Read some trip reports... It is the strangest drug ever.. Seriously try it once your missing out if you don't.. Lol

But me too.. I can't handle OTC's too much because they all give you that 'feeling' if you know what I mean.. 'the OTC feeling'

And lol 'ONLY' 3oz. I don't need a sitter for that, but I always call someone at least.. That still doesn't quinch my fear of going through my scary basement into my bathroom though x.x ick.

What do you mean by "ONLY?" isn't 3oz a small dose? The most i've done is a bit over 4oz. I usually text people, If I can.

And yeah dude 3oz is almost a 600mg dosage which is classified as 'strong' in erowid.. Lol I have never done a low dosage myself honestly.. Always go straight for those 3rd and 4th plateaus..

And yes do your research, at least once, and if you drink a lot of water like you said before and exersize, hangovers shouldn't be a BIG problem with you regardless.. So you will be fine with diph, hopefully.. Lol

I had this insanly hard trip with DXM + weed once... took some and went to see alice in wonderland in 3d (I was in the dextroverse and it still sucked)

I ate grapefruit and drank pomegrante a few hours before I doses, but everything around me looked 2-dimentionial. I looked at my friend and he was compleatly paper flat and flashing like he was just an image being cast from a projector.

He was holding the bowl, and while the bowl looked normal his fingers looked like they were painted onto it. it was insane. I thought I was going to die. I was sure I was going to die anysecond (heartbeat too fast for too long)

I sent my friend home cause I didn't want him to have to deal with his buddy dying in front of him. Aren't I considerate?

It was pretty hard to focus on the plot, I was getting more enjoyment on watching the compleatly packed theater in front iof me (sat in the back row) watching kids fuck around throwing candy, making out, causing a scene cause most of them were prolly higher than me (lol, prolly not )

perhaps its just me, but has anyone else noticed that when your on dxm (especially high doses), that when you look into other people's eyes, their eyes look weird too? sometimes it gives me the false impression that they are tripping to. of course, in the back of my head i know better. but still, its a little weird.

When I'm tripping balls, i think everyone else is its hilarious. Then i look at their eyes and still think they're trippin

 

When I am tripping, or high.. Not drunk.. But tripping or high, I always think everyone else is stoned.. They seem so 'different' from yourself.. Because they are sober.. I was really high in first hour a few months ago, and this kid I know and am friends with that is anti drugs I thought he was acting weird, so I said "Dude, jared. Are you high??" And of course he wasn't but it seemed so sure that time. Like he was SURELY high.. I knew better.. But I had to ask because he was just sooo different.. I'll look at people and think that they are stupid also.. I feel like everyone and everything is immature when I'm tripping.. But apparently so does a lot of people haha

 

yeah like one time i was tripping on a 3rd plateau dose of dxm around a couple friends. everyone seemed to be acting weird it kind of weirded me out. then when everyone started laughing about someone joke my one friend told, everyone sounded like they were laughing like demons. it kept amplifying in my head and freaked me out.

 

Lol I know, one time on diph, everyone was smoking in the garage, I passed because I was tripping way way to hard ad needed to calm the hell down.. But they were screaming my name and I thought to myself 'fuck waisting my breath on them, they are too high to even know what I am saying' So I started thinking about robots instead.. Lol then they kept screaming my name thinking it was funny that I was zoning in my own head, and I replied with 'ROBOTS!!' Then they all just giggled.. I didn't. I didn't know what the hell was going on.. 20/25mg diph.. Crazy stuff..

P.S. I normally don't think of 'waisting my breath' on people so that was really REALLY weird..
