santa cruz, san francisco, found SO Much good food! bread, fruit, boxes of raisins, cliff bars, tons of good stuff....
dumpster diving = a great life skill we used to get a lot of the stuff for food not bombs from dumpsters too
and BBAD's right, not only just food... if you need some twine, cardboard, whatever... there's a lot of good stuff that people throw out. as well as nasty ass shit, lol gotta be careful. if it's the least bit gross I won't go near it.
You found clif bars? Haha nice Never try to dumpster dive out of a place near a chinese restaurant. Good lord they have some gnarly dumpsters. I have never done it personally, but I worked next to a chinese joint and hated bringing trash to the dumpster because of it.
i usually hang out at night stoned and go to dunlkin donats and they give me a full bag of shit right off the shelf at panora (or something like that) they do that too only sometimes, but they have the best food ever!
this reminds me... go to atlanta bread CO before they close. I've gotten a santa clause sized sack of bread and passed it out to people in town at least 6 times, now.
I think the bakery is mostly organic. A lot of stuff in my city is, big craze about local food and organic.
yah seriously. Our bodies and immune system are so weak. A few germs should strengthen the immune system.. Can't protect our bodies forever.
I found a kick ass snare drum in a dumpster klast week. i love dumpster diving.. I found $2,800.00 cash in a dumpster, along with 4 bundles of hairy ron... no lie.
Since I didnt know shit about H, I sold the bee for 5 a pop. I cant remember the brand on the stamps. Tell me about it.. Had me hooked on dumpsters ever since. I find money alot. In fact washing my car pays for itself sometimes, theres a dumpster at a car wash. Theres always change left behind, and the canister vacs you can open take out coins in the dust collect. I shook 5 vacs once and got close to 30 bucks in coins..
That's awsome. I am all about ecocycling and not wasting things, but I am just sooo weird about food.
I found more than 5 jars of peanut butter.. Im still eating that stuff. I always find soda.. I found eggs that someone just set down. Haha, a paranoid person might think not to eat them. But if I was to die cause I ate some eggs someone had no use for.. Then the creator is just a funny guy..
I pose a more interesting question. Who has actually relied on dumpster diving to get by on while on the road or some other situation where it was the only option? I bet it wouldn't seem so cool and trendy if it was necessary to eat by DD.
All summer, baby. I had money with me, but I chose not to spend it unless I absolutely needed to. There's food everywhere...especially in California you can NEVER go hungry.
