We deal with a lot of bad drivers here, since we're in the mountains (lots of curvy roads) and during tourist season, flatlanders DO NOT know how to drive in the mountains, and they get bitchy towards people that do. My husband passed about 4 cars on a very curvy part of road, doing about 140K... and there were cars coming in the other lane, but at that speed, we had plenty of space and time to pass. Turns out, a few of the cars coming towards us were from Alberta (the first one was a big jacked-up pickup) and they were all honking and flippin' the bird, and the guy in the big jacked up truck did too, and yelled something at us. It's like, "Dude, we're from here, we know the road, and we're in a little car, you could squash us if we didn't make it." haha. My husband's cousin did Creston to Calgary (6-7 hours) in about 3 hours with a couple pounds of pot, a huge bong, and a bunch of other shit in his car... took him so long 'cause he got pulled over, took the cops half an hour to catch him. Big fines. Haha.
a quote I read on these forums earlier this year: "if I didn't drive stoned how would I ever get anywhere?" but ya, I think I do better stoned.
this is a bit weird but ive just got off the phone from my mum. A young woman was killed and a 5 year old is criticly ill after a accident earler today by her house. speed does kill.
i hated the in class driving shit it was like 2 hours of straight crashes and people dying and stuff definatly scared me enough to never drink and drive though fuck its like on maury when they bring the bad kids to prison to scare them straight
yeah those classes suck ass.. but i think they lower your insurance a good amount.. but the movies of the people crashing and dying are nothing compared to real life losing your friend because he was drunk driving THAT scared me shitless.. i will never ever even think about drunk driving.
I Try Not to drive stoned. but sometimes it happens. one time my friend and i got really stoned and he went to drop me off at home. pulling out of this street he was going at least 20 mph in a very narrow street. he almost hit a wall. though he will deny it to the day
I can drive high, but I always prefer not to. However, I'm the best driver in my group of friends so I usually get stuck with the job.
I drive really slow and carefully by nature, so when I'm baked it's even slower and even more careful. And I agree with the person who said it feels like a video game!
haha I took my driver's ed online. got the insurance discount and everything, and just had to click through the pages. la viva es buana.
I'd never trust myself to drive stoned. One of my closest friends, on the other hand, can quite calmly smoke a bowl while going 80 on the highway or navigating the streets of Boston, possibly while looking at a map and smoking a cigarette at the same time. I have no idea how she does it, but she's an amazing driver. I think she drives better high than I do sober. I just sit back, enjoy the ride, and light the bowl for her.
i remember driving on the motorway smokin a big hash joint. i went to flick the ash out the window forgeting it was up. The end of the spliff fell off and landed on my finger. i kept trying to blow it off but it melted into my finger and left me with a huge scar.
I am in Drivers Ed, atm. And I think it is hilarious how when they say the effects of marijuana impair your driving in the following ways... If combined with alcohol, the effects double, if combined with another drug the effects double. Lmao. But nothing in itself in that class says that driving while 'impaired' by marijuana will do shit. I asked the instructor, and he disreguarded me, since I'm the tokin' stoner in the fuckin class.
