    same here for me.
most bars in the u.s. aren't nice like some of the pubs in britain and europe.
they tend to smell bad and be populated by folks who's company i could live without.

There was a local bar I used to go to. It wasn't fancy or anything. Typical set-up. Saw dust on the floor, a jukebox, several beers on tap. I generally drank at the counter with some friends so no need to get up off the stool. I don't know how it works in British bars (pubs) but here we just signal the bartender when we want another.

it depends on who you're drinking with. i have one friend who, whenever i get myself a beer, i automatically get him one too, no asking needed, no matter how many we've had. most people don't work that way though.

I drink whiskey when I am out socially, so I rarely get to the second pint. :yum:

true enough, i just also have no attraction to the effects of mind altering substances.

never having accepted the idea of rejecting imagination as immature,
and having been able to avoid the forbiden fruit obsession as a teen,
the attraction for me is simply not there.

and on my limited income, many other things are more cost effectively gratifying.

if i had more disposable finances, i'd probably spend them on technology and train stuff,
and donate to green political causes and that sort of thing whatever was left over.

other people are welcome to what they like,
i just honestly have no attraction to it.

If I'm going to the pub for a drink, it's not 1 drink it's a minimum of 3-4. Someone ask I'm going to the pub, yes, yes I will Forfeit my right to drive today haha.

this is one of the reasons i really need to get my driving license this year
i usually don't drink anyway but then i haven't been able to drive so it's wasted.

Asking Mally if he wants another is kinda like asking me if I want another.
