Sorry, I was answering a question directed at me and I don't think my answer was meant to be lewd in any way.

Hopefully, I'm less than a month away from my favorite outfit: dark gray shorts, black t-shirt, and no shoes. :)

If i'm out on an all day hike i'll wear zip-off trousers that convert to shorts later in the day when it's warmer.

Something different for a barefoot sunday stroll through the park... and yes, men wear skirts, too:

It's almost always a t-shirt and shorts when I'm barefoot. In cooler weather, I'll add a sweatshirt.

That's what I usually wear during the warmer months (T-shirt and shorts). I also add a sweatshirt in the colder months, like now. :)

Same here. From April until December it's just t-shirts, board shorts, and bare feet. In the winter I wear fleece pants, sweatshirts, and still no shoes...lol

I always dress down. T shirt and my long basketball shorts. I really don't like barefooting in long pants, because walking on the cuffs in bare feet is annoying.

I've seen guys on campus wearing suits and flip flops after formal events. I don't ever see people giving them a hard time about it or laughing at them. It's just one step away from being barefoot.

In fact, if someone were barefoot in a suit, people would probably think that they were just tired of their shoes and forgot flip flops. Especially if they were carrying a briefcase or nice bag.

Well, the idea to dress up in hippie style when barefoot has been taken up even in cartoons from the hippie era, as this example shows:

It'd be nice, for sure, if we had those times back again.

    Wiggling hip toes,

    Great comic, ganesha!

bige1030, if someone were barefoot in a suit, people would probably think that they were Paul McCartney :)

I'd have no problem being barefoot in a suit. I've worn ties while barefoot before. Some people will find being barefoot "strange" no matter what—I might as well make it "stranger."

While being barefoot while wearing a suit doesn't work for me, I love your attitude about it!

A couple of days ago I was wearing a fuzzy jacket, a tshirt, jeans, and bare feet. I thought I looked a little silly with the bare feet and jacket, but then I said, "Oh fuck it." So, no, it doesn't matter what the clothes are to me. I would looooove to see an exec in a suit on the bus next to me with no shoes on.

Not gonna lie, though.... For short outings in the cold, I can do barefoot, but when I'm going to be gone a little longer, I do flip flops. I need the barrier between me and the cold sometimes. Socks are the enemy!

Haha, you should post some pics, I would love to see this getup. I think girls are better able to get away with a look like that. Guys would think it's cute or quirky. If a guy wears a suit and bare feet, 99% of the girls I know would think he's mentally derranged and would NOT want to be seen with him.

lol.... It's a good thing I'm part of that one percent! The only way I would think you were deranged is if you had a bloody knife or a gun in your hand. :D

I read every post in your thread, Jaime, and I understand what you're saying about people goin' "wha?!?" when they see that oxymoron of a suit and bare feet. However, I'm a fat, pasty white chick with hair that gets to looking like a bird's nest at times. If I had to care about what people thought, I'd never leave my house.

That being said, when I was your age, EVERYTHING mattered and I always looked the part.;)

Next time I wear one of my scary outfits, I'll take a pic for you!!

Man, I think you should find new female friends—the ones you mention sound a bit too narrow minded.

So, what you're saying is that the guy who got bent out of shape about "preppy" girls and their concern about appearances is...gasp!...concerned about appearances?

Sorry that we don't all dress like hippies/beach bums.
