I have had this dream several times. I suddenly discover a fish tank I used to have still has fish in it. The water is brown and dirty but the fish are alive. I am very upset because I wonder if they have had food. How did I not know I had a fish tank? How long has the water been like this? I try to clean the fish tank but when I open the lid the fish escape. They swim around the tank in the air as I try to catch them. Even in the dream it makes no sense to why fish are fine out of the water. Sometimes there is a snake in the water too. I also know it makes no sense for a snake to be in the water but it's fine and swimming around with the fish. When I try I catch the snake because I think it will eat the fish it escapes but it's always on the ground. It does not float in the air. But like the fish I can never catch it. When I kept pet fish I cleaned the tanks once a week. It was important for me to give them a good home but I never had this dream then. It's only after I stopped keeping fish.
this to me is a very interesting dream to hear about. i don't have any answers of it. if things are fine without being caught maybe its trying to tell you not everything needs to be. i sometimes have strong feelings in dreams that make a lot less sense when awake. i'm not real sure why this happens either. i do often worry in real life about things that are beyond my direct reach to do anything about, and so maybe, it is just that. fish that float in the air without water, are probably right where they need to be. the tank in the dream can still be cleaned. with nothing else in it, they don't need to be worried about to do so. then you have a nice clean empty tank that would make a good terrerium leave off the lid, and maybe pretty things will grow in it. maybe if things can come and go on their own, they might be happier coming back it probably is about needing to let some things not be confined or as much so. that can be a hard one for me but really anything aware of existing, every kind of life form, needs its own kind of maze like and open ended spaces to explore even ourselves
