    Do you do pipes?

You can make very good money if you lampwork, and make nice pieces.

Roor I can't make pipes cus I don't have the set up. To make pipes (or anything bigger than about 1 inch round) I need borocilicate rods, which means I need a duofuel torch, which are about £500 each, and I also need a source of pressurised oxygen, which can cost around £500 for an oxygen concentrator. I only have a Single fuel torch using propane. This does me fine for beads and shizz. These larger pieces are made in the hotshop at uni, with a furnace and stuff.

Orly? If you want me to make you one (might be a couple of weeks) would be looking at about £10-15?

Can you not get a little baby oxy-acet kit? I've seen mini ones that are about backpack sized. (I'm assuming your probably about to tell me why you can't use acetylene for glass)

Yeah a bit hat would be nice, I've outgrown the one chemi made me. It would have to be pretty dam big due to massive head syndrome, I wouldn't mind paying.

Oxy acet would be ok for glass I guess, but I think there's a reason why the lampworking suppliers only supply oxycons. I think it might be to do with the heat, or the oxy acet scums the glass, or something ilke that. No idea. Or ocy propane is safer? No idea. But oxy acet still costs a bomb to rent.

What sort of colour? Any preference on style? Have a look on google for styles you like and link me or something ^^ Or I can just make a bigger version of the red/pink hat I made in black or dark grey in chunky wool so it'll be hugerer :D

Urh mapp gas, that stuff is useless. It doesn't get the glass hot enough, it's over priced for the amount you get so it's rubbish. If that's the stuff I'm thinking of, I'm not sure it'll be suitable for glass, even if it is combined with oxy, mainly it's do to with price.

Black tam coming up! How much would you be willing to spend? It will give me an idea of how much wool I can afford = how big I can make the hat
