I don't have dreads but I would cut my long hair off for a decent job with decent pay. It grows backs and it is just hair.

nope. I'll cut/comb them when I'm ready. any job that makes me change what I look like or who I am could never be my dream job.

I refused dreads for over a decade because of my career. I went on mat leave... still no dreads because I had to go back to working. While I was off work for mat leave, I started pursuing work from home and now I realize that my dream is never to work in a corporate office again. I work from home and love it! Consequently... I now have my kick as dreads! :)

So... what makes you want to work in a field that won't allow you to have dreads? Are you sure that this line of wokr will be a fit with your lifestyle ify ou are not allowed dreads? What will make you happier?

Online computer stuff. I went from not knowing how to start and post on a blog, to creating full fledged online stores. I make commission when items sell from these pages. I could go into more detail, but I am wordy and it would likely get really boring. lol

It's really sweet for me though right now. I've been spending much less time on work at the moment cuz we're putting our house up for sale this week and still last month I made $500 less than I would have if I were working outside of the house at my old job and I have none of the expenses i would if I were working (clothes, gas, vehicle, day care, etc, etc, etc).

I'll admit that some days I wish I worked outside of the house, but once everything is settled with the move I will have help with my kiddos for a few hours a day so I can properly dedicate time.

I cut my dreads many years ago to further my professional career. Boss asked me if I would consider cutting because he wanted me in a customer contact position. It worked out fine and I only had to wait 17 years to grow dreads again.
