I'm sorry but that is absolute bullshit!!! I got some of my pics from the DHHQ pic website, which all used their kit = backcombed ^^ Owned. But seriously SE... there is NO WAY you can tell!!! And saying it so confidently seems to me to be an elitist comment there... I really really really hope you said that to stir things up instead of being ACTUALLY serious!! Thats offended me actually... I can't explain how but it has... I'm sure someone who agrees with me can explain it... I'm sorry for this outburst but I'm irritated today and this is just.. AAGGHH!!! *Bangs head against wall* *Explodes*
I don't think I can explain it better than you did. I just wanted to agree with you. I was offended by his elitist additude as well, in this thread and many others. Looking back, SE was an anti-wax elitist at first. Now that he has erradicated wax on here (for the most part anyway) he has become an all-natural elitist. It seems that he just needs to feel above the rest of us in some way.
Yea >< I don't want to turn this thread into what happened in the 'lets talk about' one but I'm just getting fed up of it now >< So SE, just listen to us yea? Take in what we've all said and avoid preaching to us about the wonders of natural w/e unless anyone asks... Ta Anyway... Dreadies dreadies
I have been searching for a pic of the dread head that inspired me all day, and now I fear that those pics were lost when our storage leaked and destroyed a box of memories. I have a few more places to look....I hope I find them.
so true mama. the majority of the people on here have either backcombed/twist and rip and used wax at some point. I don't see natural dreads in a different light to backcombed or whatever. bcmama I loveee your hair and it was backcombed. SE likes to think he has some sort of connection to everything and anyone. It comes across as insecure to me. I like honest and open people, I'm sure I'd like SE if he was honest and open.
I lovee your dreads to Luxie! I love almost all the dreads I've seen on here though....I'm not a monogomous dread lover. lol
http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/album.php?albumid=2273&pictureid=18726 Love the girls dreads <3 Just like to mention how EVERY thread in dread section I've been in today has had some mention to this argument/problem with SE. It's quite irritating, can't it all just be left alone or at the very least kept in ONE thread? No reason to ruin all threads in the dread forum. Just a thought!
tbh I've been put off even posting pics or anything in this thread coz of soaringeagle sending the bullshit monitor way off the scale again. It's made even more annoying by the fact it's coming from someone who is basically nice, and knows stuff and isn't intentionally malicious, who I don't really want to have bad feelings towards, but the ignorance is very off-pissing.
Dude those are not even his dreads, that is just his hair spiked up, those do not even looked like dreads. That is the only pic I could find, but I am just saying that the pic you showed are not his dreads. I am not sure if his are natural or not, I am sure they are not though.
i just would like to say that all the pics so far are awesome and great! about SE, i look at it like this. dreads are dreads no matter how you get to the final stage. backcombing is just jump starting the process to me. i have never heard anyone before looking down on backcombing til i came here. all the websites i have looked at about dreadlock, making them, growing them, caring for them, or just loving them, all say backcombing is as natural as neglect when it comes to getting dreads. so what if some people take years to grow their dreads and others takes months.it all looks the same in the end, its hair that is knotted together. so lets get back to what this forum was for, GREAT LOOKING DREADS, no matter what route someone took to get them!
could someone (soaringeagle) please identify the methods used in the pics i posted. *really needs to know*...
heres the two great people who backcombed me. they are also backcombed. and u cant even tell. especially of how thick Claire's are.... and just to show u how his dreads started off haha he never used wax. his baby dreads just look funny as hell.
The pic was taken from a timeline of his hair and it sure seemed like that was the start of his waxed dreads....I could be wrong though, it happens sometimes.
but seth that is why they are all boring and round, damaged and doomed to be cut off in two years...geeze dont you know anything
Oh shit! I forgot to cut mine off, like two years ago. I can't believe that my dreads haven't fallen off or something.
