I stand corrected... never used it myself... just offering what I've heard...

Reading more on Doc Bronners, I've found that its not residue free and is detergent based.

I think I'll stick with the Knotty Boy liquid shampoo...

And I still think Prell would be good to use... wish someone had more info on this. Its residue free and having used it before a few times undreaded (particulary for getting demi permanent dye to fade out) it DEFINITELY doesn't have any conditioners in it lol

i just use water and every once in a while i'll use baking soda or some tea. its pretty simple and gets my hair real nice and clean. sometimes i add a drop of rose oil for freshness.

and i've known people chop off all they dreads except for a few in back. thats usually how that one goes. i think its a pretty lame way out.

the kboy stuff is expensive imo. baking soda would be as effective and lots cheaper. like I said...nothing wrong with using plain water. sometimes people can't seem to get over the notion that water can clean your hair without soap...i know I was one of these people until I tried it.

mhmmmm, and now i'll add two table spoons of vanilla, one cup of sugar, and some chocolate syrup. instead of eggs we'll be using applesauce to please the vegans in the crowd. feel free to add some patchouli if you're a hippy type. ;)

it is kind of high though... I'm almost tempted to make my own... its just rosemary oil, olive oil, peppermint oil, tea tree oil, castor oil and a couple other types of oil lol.

I know water can clean without soap, my only problem with that is that I have a very oily scalp and it still feels oily after rinsing with only water. I need some type of emulsifier to break up that oil lol.

yeah...that's because you wash your hair with soap AND so often. Slow down the washing and it gets better over time. But it only fixed itself entirely with using water only. Before dreads I had notoriously thick, oily hair.

one day when i cut my locks i want to do it in this drullet style. i cut my last set because they got too massive/heavy especially when my hair is wet and it caused neck problems so this would be a logical solution yes yes
