Dreadlocks in a ponytail

Hi. Do you have to dread any particular way to achieve a good looking pony tail, or to be able to put half of your hair up with a pony tail holder and leave the rest down with dreads? I was just wondering because I have seen some really cool looks achieved liked this and I have also seen some dreads that really look uneven and unfitting. You don't have to keep your dreads parted do you? Any info is appreciated.

so long as you've got em evenly done around yer head they'll be fine.

 

Dreadlocks look WICKED in a ponytail. Its the only style I did with my dreads!

 

i think they just dread their hair like normal, then pull it back in a pony tail

 

It dont matter what kind of dreads you got, it matters what kind of pony tail you want
