i think knotty boy is good too, yeah heaps heaps heaps overprised.... i spose you gota thank them for the good ideas... im thinking of mixing my own dread shampoo, n cooling spray, so easy to make.......... i used to make my own wax out of beez wax, n pure olive oil, but i thort the knotty boy wax is heaps easier to apply.
I just brushed out my dreads (over a year old) and they were gross inside. I washed usually once a week and maybe rinsed them once a week. They always dried within a few hours. There was some gross gray shit on the inside of htem. And some of them were squishy with lots of grossness in them. I think if you have dreads, it's important to accept the insides are gonna be yucky. if you are letting them dry well between washes and they dry within a fair amount of time, then it is likely just lint. Welcome!
hey. i think it deffinently is mold, cause its like stuck in my hair. its gross. its grey n its waxxy. i think i been putting too much wax in them or not rubbing it in enough. but its resulted in growing its own mildew shit n its driving me. do you know how to get rid of it? cause i dnt want to chop them off and because my dreads are crotchet i cant brush them out and start again. im just afraid the mold is going to overtake my dreads
sounds like wax, and its sticky so its probably just sucked the lint into it. probably best to stop using wax and try to wash it out with hot water and such. i don't think its mold if its grey though i could be wrong, i've never seen actual hair mold in person. does it smell like rotten/disgusting things?
I didn't use wax at all, but when I brushed there was what seemed like wax in the middle of some of my dreads. it was terribly disgusting! lol It was squishy and gooey. It is likely wax that you see though since your dreads are so young. I know in the past people have recommended people dip their dreads in boiling hot water to try and remove the wax. But I have no clue as I have no experience with it.
You do understand that lint dreads into your hair, and will become as tightly bonded as hair, or any other fiber your head touches for that matter?
