    Ooh what kind of shoes?

I think the tips hold water or seem wetter because of gravity, the water does go down your hair to the tips.

    hmm
well pat, any residual respect for you that i had is pretty much gone after i read that awful shit you said about my man.
if you have something to say about that, imagine me saying similar things about chaos and then hold your fucking tongue.

idk where this idea came from that jared and i have been dating for two years. its been more like 7 months or something.
not that its anyones business, but we are working on spending as much time together as possible, and ive temporarily moved across most of canada to be near him.
im glad weve had to go through this long distance crap though, because when the time comes for us to be in school (at the same time, thousands of miles apart) i know our relationship can take it.
really though, i dont consider our relationship to be up for discussion and talking shit about two people who love each other and cant be together very often is pretty fucking weak.

you said it's been 2 years in the introduce yourself thread thingy.

And i dont give a fuck if you think it's weak. I think it's weak he follows me around threads jsut to say I lie or that he thinks metal is gay. Figured this would shut him up

Yep, its been over 2 years since we've known each other... but not dating.

BTW, why on earth would you remember how many years she said its been since we've known each other. Seems like you are obsessed with us. Maybe just obsessed with her. It's all good, I understand. She is ridiculously gorgeous.

I don't see why you need to bring personal matters into your arguments.

The lyrics would upset most people. They deal with extreme violence, rape, cannibalism, death, gore etc

And what makes death metal different than most forums of "pop" music is that the vocals aren't supposed to be the star or attention grabber. It's about the music and technical skill of the band

I mean I am ok with not focusing on the quality of vocals. But rather, I couldn't tell you what the fuck they are talking about...other than if I read their lyrics. But really, who cares what the lyrics are if you cant make them out anyway. Keep in mind I was really trying to listen to this, and but like "ok, I dig that". I can say that to a band like Dream Theater. While overrated to a degree, I can enjoy some of their stuff. I don't know if that's metal or not but it's something I can appreciate technically speaking. But cannibal corpse I really don't see the proficiency. I watched videos and live performances all the way through too with an open mind...just didn't see it.

It's a very acquired taste for sure. Cannibal Corpse isn't supposed to sound good though. They're brutal.

You would probly dig melodic death metal. Incoropates harmonized guitars and really catchy riffs

lol I am metalhead through and through for sure. Myself and the 2 other metal guys from my town would go out and people would gather around our table just to listen to us talk about metal for hours. They said our passion was mind blowing

I tried looking that up and didn't find anything amusing. any recommendations for melodic metal. what about acoustic metal, such a thing?

edit: pat what sub-genre of metal is dream theater? (if it's even metal at all to you)

    Do you like iron maiden?

I can totally match it except replace all music with The Grateful Dead. Music to my soul.

I seriously just really enjoy anyone with extreme passion for what they believe in. I would get along with SE, NP, and many others just because you guys really seems passionate about shit. From an anthropological standpoints it's really fascinating, passionate people that is.

Playing music beats talking about music by leaps and bounds. Nothing can match a good jam session...

Dream Theatre is more progressive rather than metal.

And yes Maiden rules. IMO them and Judas Priest were so important in paving the modern metal sound.
