yeah except I actually see mine everyday rather than once a year And you're dreads dont hold water?!?!?!?!?!?! YOUR LYING. thats impossible
lol, true. they hold a bit, but its no sponge effect. not as in they "repel" water like you seem to explain. i could imagine as they get more mature they will hold less water. my dreads are tightttt and real thin. edit: pat, don't be such a judge. you don't know the dynamic if his relationship and he doesn't know you. you may think its lame, but i think what is really lame is being so negative about it. just my 2cents.
I never said they repel water. I said they don't absorb water. i don't ever recall saying they repel water but if I did then yeah I was wrong on that accord.
also, i fucking love cannibal corpse... i was a sophomore in highschool and this senior, Robin was her name, took me to a concert and before the show she put make up on us and smeared us with fake blood. then afterwords we went to baskin robins and had a good laugh at the families staring @ us! lol, she was wearing the hottest fucking torn up shirt and short skirt.
my dreads totally repel water... I have a bottle of Aquafina on my desk right now that fell off when I sat down at my desk... jus' sayin'...
yeah, umbrella's are pointless for me, and I can actually breathe underwater since my dreads create a bubble around my head
Thought I'd also add something on the topic of distant relationships. I can tell you it is something which brings dramatic highs and lows. I can still remember quite clearly that amazing feeling of happiness of stepping into an aeroplane knowing where I was going, and then the flipside, the pain in having to leave again catching that bastard train/plane whatever, it was a bitch, a bittersweet experience, yet I don't regret going through it as it's to some extent brought me to where I am now. Having said that I wouldn't recommend anyone having to go through that shit. Only those who have will perhaps have a clue about what I'm talking about here. It was a gut-wrenching experience... And.. Don't believe you either...
Thanks merrivale. I'm glad someone besides SL knows where I'm coming from. Also, when you going to post some new photos?
Is this some kind of 'make merrivale believe' forum? Who gives a shit if you believe it or not? Get over yourself.
I'm not really sure what you mean by this, could you elaborate please. As to the topic, It's purely a dread related topic for this forum on mature dreads. So far, Pat is the only person with mature dreads that is upholding this theory. I would like to hear from more people with mature dreads to testify this. And BD I dunno about the pics, I deleted all my other ones because I felt like having a break, maybe if I get some good ones I'll post, otherwise it'll be for the seven year mark if I last that long...
okay, back on topic... I think my dreads are more mature than anyone's... they haven't taken part in this childish argument not even once
I'm not sure how to word this without sounding like a weirdo, but I think if bd and SL are happy then it's no one's business to judge. As for dreads absorbing water... I have to agree that where my hair is "dread" like, it does seem to hold less water. I too have troubles with the ends and the top. Actually, when I get out of the shower, I have beads of water on my head... it doesn't get absorbed. I never noticed if these sat on the loose hairs, which I imagine they do, but will check for certain next shower. Just to make it clear, they still do absorb water, but it seems to drain (lol) faster than my straight hair.
I too have felt the wrench of gut. Just the once, and never again thankfully My dreads seem to be releasing water a little faster since I unpicked and loosened a bunch of the ends the other day, whatever that means. I can't remember what the original question of this thread was.. not that that's usually an issue round here, lol. Ummm yeh kinda lost my train of thought now. Oh well... I won some nice shoes on ebay, which is nice
