Why not? I get all my music through torrents, much easier than wading through all the crap on most P2P networks...

There are other BitTorrent Clients out there that are much better. Check out Azureus or BitTornado. http://www.bittornado.com/download.html

It's not so much about your connection, unless you have 56k. 99% of the time, speed it determinted by how many resources are avaiable thus creating bandwidth. And bearshare is shit, anything with spyware will not reach my hard drive. Thats also why most computer users that dont know wtf they are installing end up with a shitty infested computer after a couple weeks to months.

Bitcomet i think is one of the best clients out there, athough it does take a good amount of your cpu and ram.

Here is what happens when you find good .torrents and mix that with a good client ;)

Limewire Pro doesn't have any spyware included, nor does K++ K-Lite...like underplay said, nothing that comes bundled with spyware touches my drive.

BitTorrents are good, but are only really useful if you're downloading full albums. I use FTP's all the time, in fact, is where I get over half of my music. You could also try Espew or Altavista Music search, both of which are pretty reliable web-based search engines that require no extra software to install.

    Wicked Downloads

It's still pretty dangerous for the hosts, but fortunately for us, they're generous enough to take this risk to share their goodies. ;)

Bittorent is only good for music if you're downloading popular stuff. If I wanted popular stuff, I'd listen to the radio.

Soulseek is the only thing I ever use for music.
You can find virtually anything.. even obscure bands

Reliable downloads - a lot of high speed users
    - no broken/screechy files.. no mislabeled files
    - you can usually find full albums completely intact

The only downside is that you sometimes have to wait in a queue before downloading. But 99% of downloads go through. Just choose your music and leave soulseek open for a day or two. I have over 50GB of music - all complete albums - from soulseek.. and a lot of stuff that you can't find anywhere else.

    Check it out - http://www.soulseeknet.org

The best thing to do when you do a search, is to click DLS near the top, so it arranges the files by the fastest downloads first.. since there are often hundreds of search results

If the text is grey that means that there are people waiting in the queue.. the number of people waiting will show too.
If it is black that usually means you can usually download instantly

    Enjoy!
