for real, she walked pathways and rode cars and rode in boats. those shoes are prefectly acceptable.

they have to mold her into the perspective of the masses. and the masses want a girly, slim and taller dora. that is the ideal. that is what will sell. if you can't sell it to the en masse then it's not worth doing.

 

I would think that a responsible parent would be more concerned with the fact that their daughter sees a cartoon character as a role model, rather than the damned parent!

I like original dora better- they shouldent have changed her- but i dont think she looks sexed up at all. Grown up dora looks like she's 7 or 8, so I can't see why any one would call her a whore. WTF??! she doesent even have boobs yet!

 

I see your point. It is a little overwhelming, all dolls the same now. Don't get me wrong, I love my barbie, but Dora was so cute too.

I am curious, is this character a complete replacement, or are they creating a new show?

 

She is growing up.. everyone does and she finally found some good looking clothes for herself. Maybe her mother isn't dressing her anymore

 

All I can say is that if some parents look at the "new dora" and think that it is sexed up, then someone needs to call child services.

I don't think it's too bad... honestly...but I don't really understand why they felt the need to change her in the first place. I hate it when they change cartoons. Hate the new Ninja Turtles, hate the new look for Littlest Pet Shop... I think once you create a successful character, it's best to keep it that way. Or maybe I'm old-fashioned.

But I don't think she looks "sexy" or anything.
