I have insane dreams and I remember crazy amounts of detail. Like for instance, if there is a clock in my dream I'll be able to tell you what time it said on the clock when I wake up. I don't know how you go about remembering your dreams but let me tell you, I'm so glad I do because they are crazy and hilarious most of the time.

To be honest erm... I remember my dreams too much... I don't really like it ._.

It's happened more since I got an IBS thing... digestive distress causes vivid and memorable dreams... or probably any form of digestive activity.

I believe some herbs can do it. I think Ashwagandha gave me vivid dreams.

Waking up during the night seems to do it too, as well as encouraging lucid dreaming.

You could always just take DMT instead lol

Last night i had a dream that I still had my lip pierced. I was going to a pharmacy to pick up a prescription and every time I would walk into the pharmacy my lip would start to hurt so I kept leaving. A few minutes later I would go back in with the same results. Finally Shemar Moore (the actor) came along so I convinced him to go in to get my perception for me. The next thing I knew I was in my house and I was being shot at from outside. Fucked up.

Keep a piece of paper and pen by the bed. As soon as you wake up write everything down. The longer you wait the more will slip away.

I find a voice recording device is better. I'm usually not together enough to write when I wake up but I can usually press a button and mumble.

True. Also, wake up very, very slowly. Like keep the lights off as long as possible, lay there and let yourself stay relaxed, you might go back into dreaming a bit and in that state it should be easier to remember when you finally wake up completely...it's like dragging it out.

If you usually wake up in a rush...try to set an alarm for really early, like earlier than you really need to wake up, but don't wake up completely. Also set another alarm if you really do need to wake up at a certain time and you're not good at getting up on your own.

Unfocused's post is 100% correct. That is the conventional wisdom and typically it works. I used to keep a dream journal by my bed and would write them down right away.

However....if a diff issue is occurring, that you just really don't wake up at all remembering having have dreamt....well, that has been happening to me more in the past couple years. I remember dreaming only in one circumstance- if I fall asleep for a short nap on the couch with the tv on... I will remember a dream. Like the recent tornadoes, napped when my son did with CNN on... dreamt tornadoes were coming and I was planning to call my mom because she has a basement and I don't and I had to get my son and my over there. At night, I can't remember the last time I had a dream. At all, haven't woken up once and remembered I had a dream.

What does that mean? I've been sleeping better it seems..but less. Maybe I'm not in REM sleep but just adjusted to less sleep. I don't know.

I'd say it likely means we need to look at our sleep patterns. Too many (esp weird) dreams can be an issue but not dreaming...or remembering at all (which likely means not many dreams), likely means... not too much rem sleep?

you don't have to have memorable story dreams . a dream can just be
about geometry and mostly meaningful to the sub-mind . oh , i might
say geometry is a very important language with the faerie folk of
light . when i see them in action , well , for one thing a spiral is
a word and parallel is another and precisely right Anglish is another .

after a look at her jewelry on Etsy , i thought this might be the
    thing to write about .

I just had a dream about getting my next tattoo. It took forever because my artist kept taking breaks to go for walks in the woods. When he was finally done it was nothing like what I wanted. I wanted the word BOSTON across my hand. No idea why. I love Boston but I don't need it tattooed across my hand. Then after it was done I woke up in bed with someone that wasn't my husband...in my dream. Not real life. That is clearly my husband next to me right now.

I remember my dreams pretty much every night.
Quite often they take place in the same dream city.

For about two years, I used to have dreams about getting back to this certain spot. Until finally I had the dream of finally getting there. Those dreams completely stopped and this new city scape started developing.

Last night was about a CFSW type of event and I was poeting and rapping like a motherfucker in it. I believe I was looking for my group at one point. They had gone a different route in this city because they didn't know it like I did. It was the first appearance of a beach in my city. Chris Rock made a cameo as a poet.

I almost never remember dreams, unless I'm having one of my weird premonition type ones and those I remember later when the premonition comes true. I should learn to right them down.

Am I strange in that lately it seems that the only time I don't remember my dreams is when I don't smoke pot before bed?

It's the opposite of what has been true for me in the past.

I made a 'conscious' decision to have by my side a pen and paper to the side of my bed = I reckon I have about 5 seconds to recall such, so have a automatic process of recording - and for me it works :)

I think I'll start having a pen and journal handy next to bed. I'm also recalling dreams more. I had a dream about a guy and a girl screaming because they were dropped forty stories high and knew they were going to die. They were falling through this glass tube at right angles.
