OMG that fucken movie. I watched that with some friends back in high school. I'd never seen any of them. That's still the only one I've seen. Anyway, I remember the girl was in the canoe, the music comes up, and it seems like the movie was over, and I got up and walked to the TV so I could hit rewind on the VCR--this was the 90s, kiddos--so my guard is down, and I'm like two inches from the TV and then--BAM!--that shit.

I almost pissed myself.

I don't know what the scene was. I didn't get it. Was the kid dead or not? Didn't matter. It scared the shit outta me.

My family is so screwed up.

Waiting for my sister to call back so we can discuss our raging drunk of a father. The last two times I talked to him on the phone, the conversation ended because he literally passed out in the middle of it. I'm worried about him and she's like, "Oh, he's fine. He's been drinking like that for years."

That's the opposite of fine.

He's going to kill himself before we have a chance to reconnect. And I feel like this is my fault. Like, I did this to him.

 

Without knowing the facts... I doubt this is true.
