Just remember how good you will feel after y6ou quit. I've been quit for a 13 months now and feel fantastic. ALso, pot helps. Take a couple of days off, if ou can and smoke lots of pot. -Lynsey
Also, be careful of gaining weight...I started munching on things I didn't even like and am now prob about 20-30 pounds heavier than before I quit. -Lynsey
if you quit.. you'll have more people wanting to kiss you. kissing a smoker is one of the nastiest things.. uke:
I actually haven't had a cig since Sunday night... because I feel sick as hell. (who knows maybe I'll quit too ) whenever I quit, gum always helps me. if I'm thinking about a cig I'll pop in a piece of gum
I second the pot idea. It's a natural expectorant, might help unplug some bronchial airways. Get EXERCISE! too. every day. holistic is the way to go. detox yourself with plenty of fruit and veg and antioxidant tea. avoid fatty/greasy food until your cravings go away. congrats friend!
whenever i dont have a smoke im nickin so bad.... i dont think I could do it..... but im gunna try too I admire people who can quit, if i ever knew its gonna be so hard to stop, i would have never-ever started.... besides smokin isnt cool nowadays.... and the prices went up.
no, its true. I don't smoke. my wife does. it tastes like licking a wet ashtray. i never noticed it until after I quit
It's been 8 months for me and my husband. He chews regular gum a lot. It doesn't bother me as much because I was never a heavy smoker. Good luck. 3pks a day sounds rough. My lungs feel tight just thinking about it. You'll probably get sick after you quit just detoxing your lungs. This is normal btw if you do get sick with a cold. It happens to a lot of people. You'll also probably hack up nasty crap too.
i'm glad you're going cold turkey, it's the only way to go when you're really addicted, otherwise you'll just be addicted to the patch or whatever, my stepdad quit years ago and he still eats commit lozenges like candy. lucky for me i wasn't too hardcore into smoking, now i'm trying to only have a couple a week when i know i'll really enjoy it and not just cling to it like a life raft..
sorry I never read this whole thread but I quit for 4 months after a gazillion years so I have some advice to offer I started again but anyways.... it had to do with summer and drinking. :/ What really helped me though was 1. getting good and sick of smoking 2. doing something else when I got a craving 3. going to bed early the fist week or so when I felt like smoking at night (when your sleeping your not smoking) 4. gum 5. lighting sage or sweetgrass and inhaling that when I had a craving... the lighting something part of it really helped me
Thanks for the groovy vibes ya'll. It's been half a day an' I'm wantin' one so bad its not even funny.
Well the first day is almost over. Now lets see if I can get thru tomorrow. One step at a time I guess. This bowl I'm packin is for ya'll. :sifone:
