Yes, but it makes him look like someone is stuffing a cucumber up his real anus. I think he suffers from piles

I think he suffers from histrionic personality disorder, egocentrism, bigotry, tactless outburst syndrome(not sure if this name is official or not), etc...

Trump just proposed a 6-week paid maternal leave. Sounds great and all that. All this will do is make employers less likely to hire women my age.

He's also proposed a child care credit of $5,000 per child per year. That applies to elder care as well. Stay at home mothers would get the same break per child per year.

We're the only developed nation that doesn't offer paid maternity leave. Do women in other developed nations have trouble finding employment?

I personally think companies should offer paternal and maternal leave so it wouldnt be an issue then.

I'm confused, this is already a thing.

The fact that a Donald Trump candidacy is a real thing says a lot about Americans.

You know that scene at the end of Dark Knight? " He's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now."

That's how I feel about Donald Trump. except replace 'Gotham' with 'America'. And 'hero' with 'clown'.

We should all be ashamed of ourselves.

    Haha thanks.

Right now there is a $5000 tax credit per child, not sure if there is a cap on income with that.

It looks like Trump's child credit, if I'm understanding this right, would be based on income and child care expenditure instead of a flat $5000 per child, and could potentially go up to $12,000...

I suspect he doesn't care. I don't even think he cares about his wall. He's the apex of cynical narcissists. As long as he can surround himself with sycophants cheering in rallies, he's content.

I think he, and all politicians, suffer from Narcissistic Personality Disorder. Check out the list of symptoms and tell me this doesn't sound like either Hillary or Donald. [IMG]

    1. Grandiosity with expectations of superior treatment from others
    2. Fixated on fantasies of power, success, intelligence, attractiveness, etc.
    3. Self-perception of being unique, superior and associated with high-status people and institutions
    4. Needing constant admiration from others
    5. Sense of entitlement to special treatment and to obedience from others
    6. Exploitative of others to achieve personal gain
    7. Unwilling to empathize with others' feelings, wishes, or needs
    8. Intensely envious of others and the belief that others are equally envious of them
    9. Pompous and arrogant demeanor

It might be surprising to know how many ultra-successful people are sociopaths/psychopaths.

    It's does.
It does sound like most politicians. It also sounds like famous sports personalities and top level management of large corporations. I guess some people feel that fame, power and money are the main objectives in life, and feel that they must be godlike(or at least above other unworthies) to have attained those things.

But to what extent? Is it harder than it is for women in the USA already? And... in the majority of those countries? And would it be totally different if there wasn't any paid maternal leave? I mean there's still the risk of them leaving when and after being pregnant. This might be just as much a factor as the paid maternal leave (lol and yeah in some european countries there's paid paternal leave as well) where it comes to hiring women for certain positions.
