He didn't. His post was not about canadians and their jobs or wanting to get into the US. It was about those physical barriers at the borders and what it can entail (not only a wall from one end of the country to the other). Seems rather obvious...

Im also curious with which facts you think MeAgain was playing there?

edit: about mexicans and the american workforce and wages: don't you think that starts with americans who offer jobs to those mexicans?

Hillary shaking Gaddafi's son's hand. Less than a year later, Hillary led the invasion that murdered him and his family.

I often wonder what benefit bankrupting the nation could possibly present. Such a collapse would cause chaos, famine and mass medical deaths. Sure, the wealthy and powerful have "compounds" that resemble citadels. The Bush family has one in South America. So the elite have a bug-out plan. But they did during the previous depressions and crashes as well. Old money families know how to escape the worst of the economy. Probably why they play games with it so willfully.

While I think we are headed toward at least 2 more recessions in quick order, I think they'll kick off a multi-decade depression that will engulf the planet. I fail to see where any benefit exists even for the wealthy if such a thing comes to pass. Caviar doesn't just jump into those little tins.

As for walls, the one between India and Pakistan can be seen from orbit. It didn't make long to build. And it has reduced border problems enough to justify keeping the lights on and the guards spaced since it was built. I thought it was amusing that the pope derided Trump's wall talk only to have it pointed out in the press that the pontif lives within walls himself. I've been hearing about the southern US border for most of my life. Neither party has done jack about it. Neither party has done jack about the people who hire "undocumented" workers. And neither party is doing anything about the abuses of guest worker programs.

That's why I was for Bernie or Trump. Neither one was really a genuine party candidate. Trump went for the republicans first because they were easy to destroy. Now he has a real fight with people who have a closet full of bodies. It's going to be amazing either way. I have a bottle of scotch for the first debate.

Is that the crap that Breitbart is pushing now?

Yes----it makes so much sense now---the 1% wants to bankrupt America with illegal immigrants so that Obama's Islamic terrorist cells that he has placed all over rural America such as the Dakotas, can then rise up and behead all of us infidels and turn America into an Islamic religious State ruled by Sharia law----that is until the mass die offs begin-----you know the ones---manufactured by the 1% because they want to live in a world where they don't have to rub shoulders with the poor folk (anyone whose net worth I assume is less than 20 - 30 Million). -----That's right, the New World Order is ideally a world where most of the labor of the 1% (the people who manufacture, sell, and service the stuff the 1% profits from) and most of the consumers (the same people who buy, consume, and may even be addicted to the stuff the 1% profits from) are killed off and the survivors are put into internment camps.

Because, after all, why would the 1% want to continue to exploit the same populations that have made them rich and powerful in a tried and true method that has been so succesful since the indusrial revolution (and which, in many ways, evolved from the older system that gave the old gentry classes so much wealth and power under the feudal system)? In other words, why would the rich want to stay rich and powerful?

Or is this all orchestrated by the Jews? But the question remains the same, why would this secret enclave of rich and powerful Jews want to remain rich and powerful?

Sounds kind of stupid, doesn't it?

So does the idea of the 1% (or even the Jews) trying to bankrupt the country. The Credit Crisis, for example, was not orchestrated by the wealthy and powerful in order to bankrupt the country. In fact it was the very opposite, and it was not just the 1%----but everybody----going too far in trying to become rich, and act out their greed regardless of the consequences (consequences they justified not worrying about because they could always make more money later, or borrow it). That's why there were pizza delivery drivers who lived paycheck to paycheck, who easily changed jobs and suddenly became rich off of bonuses they made selling loans and refinancing mortgages.

Now I'd be glad to argue this point, but just to let you know, as an analyst at Shearson Lehman Hutton, I predicted over a year in advance the looming credit crisis in Japan----including when it would start and the level of the Nikkei as it peaked. Over a decade and a half later, in 2007 as the credit crisis unfolded, I taught traders and investors exactly what was happening in the US, kept them in the market in the sharp correction in August, and told them what to look for to get out at the top---then got them out (those that listened) at the top at the end of 2007. I predicted exactly what would happen if Lehman Brothers was allowed to collapse (no I was not connected with them anymore), which is what did happen (a global crisis in the credit markets, in case you didn't know). I also predicted what would happen if congress would listen to voters and allow the first vote on the bailouts to be shot down (because Americans still had no idea of the horrific conditions the economy was facing), and that is exactly what happened. (The significance of that first vote to save the banks was psychological, and did not have much to do with the actual money spent. Once congress turned them down, the window of opportunity was passed and the actual money we actually did have to spend after they realized their mistake was far greater than what would have happened otherwise.) I then got investors and traders (the few that listened) back into the market at the bottom in March 2009. Things are still tough for many Americans, but what they don’t realize is that we did not go through a run of the mill recession-----we went through a credit crisis----the first one we had since the Great Depression. A credit crisis almost always turns into a depression----we survived, and avoided the depression literally by the skin of our teeth.

But it was not orchestrated by the 1% or the ‘Jew Bankers,’ or wherever you want to place blame. They were all simply caught up in the cycle of greed. Except for the Jew Bankers----that is simply a racial slur and stereotype that goes back into the feudal ages when Lords and Kings made use of the Jews who were willing to do the dirty job that others were not----money counting, changing, and lending. It wasn’t until they lost their favored status as the pets of the lords and kings that the real prejudice began (See Hannah Arendt’s, The Origin of Totalitarianism).

Then there is the problem of using illegal aliens to bankrupt America. People do not realize the strength of the economy we have because of the exploitation of illegal aliens and migrant workers. Not only do they do the work that almost all Americans refuse to do---even during times of high unemployment, but they also do it for hardly anything. Their kids might be in our schools but they cannot get welfare, and don’t benefit from other social services. In short, they don’t present themselves as much of a drain on the system. You may have noticed the rise in prices of tomatoes that started a few years ago. That is because most of the nation’s tomatoes come from a Southern state that is hard on immigration. The cost structure within American for resources and necessities is pretty damned good for Americans. One of the reasons is because of a fairly good sized undocumented work force of people who struggled hard and are willing to do any kind of work for practically nothing just to feed their families at home.

Anyway, it doesn’t make sense that the 1% or any other domestic group wants to bankrupt the nation. The repercussions are too great and would affect their own lifestyle and future. Another reason for our very beneficial cost structure is the fact that the US Dollar is the global reserve currency. Bankrupting the Nation risks that, and even more seriously risks the credit status of US Government bonds---which are the risk-free financial instruments to the globe. Damaging the credit status of US government bonds would be a crisis for the US credit markets-----impacting not only the US government bonds but the very extensive muni market as well-----the losses to the 1% would be tremendous considering that this would be piled on top of the tremendous amount of stockholdings that the 1% owns. And that is just one facet of how such a thing would impact them. For many of them, money is far too important to them to engage in such a strategy that would probably permanently change their way of life, and particularly the income flow of their holdings and businesses.

(Though there is one caveat to the generalization of ‘any domestic group’----influential members of the Republican Party are certainly willing to risk the viability of the US economy, as they have clearly demonstrated, by fighting tooth and nail against every economic policy Obama tried to implement, not to mention the repeated votes to shut down the government. Obviously they weren’t trying to bankrupt the nation; they just allowed their apparent racism to cloud over their better judgment enabling a pig-headed obstinacy to convince them that they could push for retarding growth without pushing the Nation over the brink.)

This news article also implicates the right wing narrative that the democrats have allowed for a lax immigration policy. This is another mountain of BS, filled with lies of anchor babies, Mexican rapists, and Islamic Jihadists being placed in our rural heartlands.

My wife and stepkids are immigrants to the US. I was the one that did their applications and went through the whole process with them overseas. I have also lived in numerous countries around the world, and have travelled extensively. America already has a very tough, a very expensive, and a very degrading and dehumanizing immigration process. The Embassy has spies that go around checking up on applicants, and one can easily be turned down for immigration over something as simple as coming from an area where prostitutes live, and having the same name as a known prostitute in that area. Or the same thing could happen if they suspected you of being communist. Your fingerprints and identity is run through local police and law enforcement records, as well as that of the FBI, NSA, Interpol, the CIA, and so forth. If you have spent any time in another country, you are through the local law and intelligence offices there too.

One of the most degrading parts of the immigration process is going to the Embassy run clinic for a health check. Applicants, no matter how young or old are checked for signs of prostitution, venereal disease, and parasites in a manner that is somewhat invasive and certainly embarrassing.

Back when Aids was a definite life sentence, your last step to gaining clearance to get your visa was to sit in a room with hundreds of other applicants waiting for your name, and the names’ of each of your family members to be called to one of three windows. It didn’t take long to realize that the first window meant that you were cleared, the second window meant that there was a health problem of some sort and you may not be able to go to America, and the third window was for those applicants that were HIV positive and therefore would not be allowed to go to America. Your wait to be called could easily last an hour while you watched the fate or fortune of other applicants around you. The bad news was delivered in a matter of fact way that lacked any compassion, usually to someone with hopes and dreams of going to America, maybe even being united with family that already lived there after years and years of waiting for their visa number to come up so they could once again see their loved ones, only to be told in a cold and heatless manner that they probably only had a few years left to live with what would become a debilitating and painful illness.

My youngest step son, only 5 years old, was called to window 2. They claimed that he showed signs of TB. We were instructed to show up every morning at 7:00 am the following week so that he could be evaluated. If it was active he would not have been able to go with us to America---at least not until it responds to a regimen of antibiotics. Even at his young age, he knew the implications and was very worried that he would be left behind for months or longer, until it was gone, or maybe forever. (We were worried too---after all, one of our maids showed signs of TB which she tried to hide. But every morning she would be outside coughing and hacking, apparently unaware that she was in earshot of our bedroom window. We fired her after only a few days, but still…)

After a week they determined that it was dormant and they would let him immigrate under the condition that he immediately reports to the health officials in the US for treatment options. When we arrived in America there was already a letter from the Department of Health telling us where to report. We had the x-rays of his lungs which the embassy doctors claimed had a spot---the doctor here couldn’t find anything on them. She also couldn’t find any other symptoms of TB until I told her that they said he had swollen lymph nodes. When she looked in his mouth, she found the real culprit-----he had a few bad teeth. The other bad thing is that every morning that we showed up at that Embassy clinic we were surrounded by many other people that were there for the same reasons---most of whom actually had TB. The three of us were undoubtedly exposed every one of those days.

America is one of the most difficult countries to immigrate into. In fact, it is one of the most difficult countries just to visit as a tourist. It is also one of the most expensive (if not the most expensive) countries to apply for a visa----and those fees are nonrefundable if you are turned down.

I think it is also interesting to note that those countries in Europe that have suffered terrorist attacks from Muslims, are those very countries that discriminate against Muslims and their traditions.

Anyway----Breitbart is a right wing tabloid that has gotten in trouble several times for its reporting practices and for misconstruing facts...

And now Trump has hired Stephen Bannon the executive chairman of Breitbart News to become his chief campaign executive.

Look for increased mud slinging from Trump.

As shown by his statement in Pennsylvania:

He wants armed "poll watchers" at PA polling places!
    No intent to intimidate there.

Intimidation is the only tactic Trump knows... That's all he had as a "businessman" and that's all he has as a "politician".

What Trump probably wants to say-----"Women, be a good wife and stay home. The polling places are no place for women. In fact, the blacks and the Mexicans could riot and so, you know, the rough and tumble world of the polling place is no place for a woman. ...and if you do go, ask your husband what is the best way for you to vote. Let's make America great again."

Liberals feel guilty and are losers? So they hate Trump because they're losers?
    The left loves Islam?

    What an idiot.

The alt right are pretty good guys and the whites are doing a great job with the West.

The left haven't done their homework, but of course the right has and they have to teach the left.

The left doesn't support Israel, he likes John Bolton.

The right likes others' opinions the left doesn't (they hate their dads and white guys)!

That's enough for me. Pseudointellectual. If you think he's funny fine, I think he's pushing a right wing agenda by pretending to impartial but in fact he throws continual meaningless jabs at the left while telling us how great the right is.

    I give him 4 baloneys.

I know when I have a tumor I want anyone but a surgeon. Wow how far the Republicans have fallen. I can see the point of removing corruption from Washington insiders. But your candidate is a text book narcissist. He has not concept of reality all he can see is his own reality where he is fantastic. Anyone who says different is a looser and jealous.

I am a socialist so of course I must be wrong. But this is not an issue of disagreeing with politcal opinions this is genuine mental illness. You seem to respect it now but you probably don't have personal experience with these kind of people as I do.

This is what all the Trump supporters think, without realizing that they are simply cutting out the middle man. THe problem in Washington is the Culture of Greed. It basically amounts to the fact that politicians are in the pockets of the very wealthy----so here we are just electing one of the very wealthy.

People tell me, "But he's different and fed up with Washington." Yeah----that's why he is bringing in his crony wealthy friends to help him!
