    Why did we let it get this far..

    And by we i guess I mostly mean the all trump all the time media. I know modern "journalism" is all about the ratings and the benjamins, but ethics should still apply.

    There is a code in journalism to not report on suicides, based on studies showing media coverage of suicides increases the suicide rate. The media should have applied this logic to Trump - dont give him serious media coverage and no one will take him seriously.

    He should have been treated like the cosmic joke he is from the beginning. He's just a big schoolyard bully with weird T Rex arms.

    And now this man baby's minions are threatening bloodshed and civil war? Wtf, america? What did you do?

    Meliai, that is exactly what they did to Ron Paul. And it worked. He got no traction outside of YouTube and in turn got no votes.
    Why trump got the coverage? There could be lots of reasons. And if it was some nefarious behind the scenes deal....I would not be one bit surprised.

    It helped that Trump was a major celebrity going into the election. If no MSM reporter wrote anything about it, the public would demand to know why. Also Trump said lots of controversial and outlandish stuff very early on, controversial stuff that was grabbing him headlines and free publicity. Jeb spent more money than trump raised this election and still managed to fail because the country is sick of politics as usual. Trump fits the outsider profile like a glove and he's taking good advantage of it.

    Rigged is a strong word in the case of the DNC, certainly they favored Clinton but nothing illegal was done.

    The most damaging emails:

    When Sander's campaign manager went on CNN and claimed no violence had occurred at the Nevada Democratic State Convention Wasserman Schultz called him a:
    Violence did occur.

    In another case Weaver said before the Nevada Convention:
    Wasserman Schultz replied:
    I don't understand this one, who cares? It's her opinion made in private.

    This one shows bias and at least the idea of planting someone in the debates, I don't know if it ever happened:
    DNC National Secretary Mark Paustenbach sent an email:
    Again we don't know if anything was ever done.

    ​And finally Wasserman Schultz after receiving an email about Sander's complaining that the DNC was bias said:
    So if that's it, I'm sorry some idealist are upset that this type of stuff goes on in politics, but that's the way it is, nothing new. If the Russians would hack the RNC, which they apparently won't, or if Wikileaks would release any hacked stuff they have on the RNC, which apparently they won't, we'd see much of the same thing.

    Much different then the release of these illegally hacked emails just as the Dem Convention convened. Russia has a long record of interfering in other countries elections, and Wikileaks has a long record of having anti Clinton bias. Even Eric Snowden condemned this act.

    As far as Tump's acusations that the national elections will be rigged...he's just trying to stir things up and suggest he is being picked on.

    It's been a rigged system for a very long time. Sometimes the ones in charge favor the republican over the democrat. Remember 2000?
