Mills once lined the rivers from Mckeesport to Ambridge. Only viable mill left is Clairton Works the largest coke manufacturing facility in the United States.

Does this idiot give the same speech in Bethlehem and Allentown?

best thing Trump could do is cause a split, or something in the GOP. But Trump seems like a person that's going to do what is best for Trump which would most likely mean 4 years of bullshit.

Neither Trump or Hillary Clinton really represent someone like me and I'm scared of both of them. I guess I as a person don't really matter that much though. Other than that I'm too tired to say much else, and tired of American politics; I did my part as an American citizen by voting in the primary, not sure what good it would do to vote in the general at this point but I probably still will. I have to do so, right? There just isn't any real choice.

I was out a little earlier, and the car in front of me still had a Bernie sticker on. It made me smile. Bernie Sanders would have had the greater good in mind......with the two we are left with...it is clearly their own agendas....politics is not a place for idealism.....it seems right now....
but lone wolves can matter, anyway....and you are not alone, anyway.

So the war between Christian and Muslim is slowly building to a crescendo, and while we can’t blame Donald Trump directly his rhetoric certainly isn’t helping

Worshipers attacked at mosques in Texas and Florida

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A pair of attacks on Muslims near their mosques this weekend may be a sign of increasing physical violence against worshipers of Islam in the United States. It is a fear many have expressed as the issue of Muslims in the U.S. takes center stage during the 2016 presidential race.

Authorities said they have arrested a suspect in the early Saturday beating of a man outside a Florida mosque that Orlando nightclub shooter Omar Mateen had attended, and an Islamic group said the victim was a Muslim.

Meanwhile, worshipers at a mosque in Houston tell KTRK-TV that a doctor who was trying to attend morning prayers was shot just outside after being approached by a group of three men.

In the Florida attack, the Council on American-Islamic Relations said racial slurs were made by the attacker, though authorities said they had no immediate indication of any racially motivated comments. Authorities said, however, that they were continuing to investigate.

I've been away for two weeks on vacation trying to get away from technology with limited success and I see not much new has happened with this thread. Perhaps we're all waiting with baited breath for the RNC next week. WTF is going to happen? Will there be fighting in the streets? Will the Republicans disqualify Trump? Will the aliens land and say "Fuck this bullshit, we're taking over!"?

When I was young I got so annoyed at older people who said, "What has happened to my country?" Now I'm an older person and I find myself asking that same question! And so are the younger people!

I don't see 'the war between muslims and christians' here in earnest. Just a bunch of intolerant, frustrated and/or misguided asshats. Do you think that's the most fitting description?

It's scary that respected veterans of our legal system such as Ginsberg are sounding the alarm about the dangers that Trump poses to law and order in this country. Trump is creating so much division in this country, it's very sad and very scary. This is a time when we need to be working together not only as a country, but as a planet, in order to solve our inherently global problems. When business professionals, famous Hollywood actors, key US officials and foreign leaders are all voicing their concerns about Trump, I think Trump should really be disqualified from running. It's embarrassing that America has a candidate who is so disliked by so many people, and it should really concern his supporters and cause them to reconsider whether this is the kind of conflict they want to create.

Ultimately it depends on who the powers that be want, not the voters, and I am certain that person has already been selected. We already know that Hillary has long been vetted by the establishment and has the most backing from said establishment. So therefore it would seem that Hillary would be the choice of the ruling elite. At the same time I can see them using the wave of righteous indignation behind Trump's popularity to push a fascistic agenda should he be the chosen one. At this point I could see it going either way, but in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter since the president is merely a figurehead who is controlled by the people behind the curtain. Kind of strange some people on this site would call that a conspiracy theory, when it's pretty much self-evident to people who understand how the power structure works.

What I find strange is some people say nothing really matters just because there is some people pulling the strings at the top. It is better to not vote at all, to not get involved in any kind of government/the system since there is a secret top who makes the decisions anyway. This while it seems evident to me that if enough people like you and me got involved in the system it could be changed. And people who do not vote at all and explain that it is a message to the establishment that you know how pointless voting is are basically the most stupid people where it comes to politics.

Basically apathy/hopelessness and lack of involvement are the biggest problems. It's also a large part of why there are so many crazy conspiracy theories.

Very good video. It highlights what I have been saying all along. Trump is a con man and the American public loves to be conned. We see it here on the forums. He and the Republicans make ridiculous claims and most people swallow them whole without looking into the facts or denying the facts when they are presented to them.

I too fear the public will get what it wants, just look at how Hillary is demonized by those who have no idea about what's going on.
And we wonder why we don't have direct democratic elections.

Sad.

Well now three cops have been shot dead in Baton Rouge http://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/18/us/baton-rouge-shooting.html.

With all the current backlash against the police, terrorist threats and anti-Trump protesters, Cleveland is a power keg about to blow. Security there has been beefed up, but I wonder if more police means more targets.
