It makes perfect sense. The system is so heavily stacked against third parties that voting for one is a wasted vote. When you have evils like Clinton and Trump and Trump is by far the more evil of the two, and Cruz ("Lucifer in the Flesh", as Boehner calls him) seems unlikely to get the nomination, not voting for Clinton risks letting Trump in. Trump is, in my opinion, an American version of Mussolini. The people who voted for Nader in 2000 because they thought he was "cool" cost Gore the election. We got G.W. instead. And if it were a choice between him and Trump, I'd vote to bring him back, even though I don't see how anybody could have screwed up more for eight years without actually trying. Remember the 1991 gubernatorial race in Louisiana when KKK leader David Duke was running against crooked incumbent governor Edwin Edwards and people were driving around with bumper stickers:"I'm voting for the Crook". I feel the same way this election! (except it won't do me much good, because I live in a solidly "Red" state.) And Duke is voting for Trump.

I agree, that would be the most logical way to win the support of people backing Bernie. I think if that happened there is no doubt Hillary would win the election. However, I don't think Bernie wants to be the veep, and I don't think Hillary would offer it to him anyway.

 

When companies try to save money or make more money--they always cut the labor segment--the workers. I don't think Trump will give a shit about labor. And what a narcissistic person he is.

Most Trump protesters are peaceful, but any movement is going to attract the lunatic fringe, including the pro-Trump movement. There are those who say peaceful protest doesn't accomplish shit and it's time for fighting in the streets, while others simply take advantage of the situation so they can riot, vandalize and loot.

There were anti-war riots during the Vietnam War era, including the one at the 1968 Democratic Convention, and I'll be surprised if there are no riots at the Republican Convention in July. I don't condone it but when frustrations boil over it doesn't take much to trigger a riot.

 

Cruz is reaming Trump a new asshole in his Indiana speeches today. I agree with everything he's saying, but it doesn't make me like Cruz any better. That's the big problem he can't fix, and why Indiana will be pretty much the end for him. Yes, Trump is an egotistical narcissist without morals, but his fans don't care. They want to be like him.
