I maintain that if trump is taken out, it will be by the right wing, not the left.

Demagogues have a habit of finding scapegoats to misdirect people when things are not going their way and angry people are often easily led.

Not sure who you mean now .... but I have yet to see a politician admit to failure.

Except the Japanese maybe. They always apologise publicly before resigning.

Didnt i say we're coming out of a recession versus the depression of the 30s?

I guess the threat of a world war is debatable, but I do find the situation in Syria awfully concerning considering how many nations are involved.

You said "depression, well, recession in this case" but in any case you said that "2016 is like a less severe 1939. That's why I put in the unemployment numbers.

The great depression lasted 10 years and it was real bad shit.

    I just don't think it's comparable.

Wrong...he also beat Bush, Cruz, Kasich, Rubio, Carson, Christie, Gilmore, Fiorina, Graham, Jindal, Perry, Walker. Huckabee, Pataki, and Paul.

All Republicans, last time I checked...plus the glorious third party members everyone was so heped up on.

That's how it supposed to be. Not how it is/was during these elections. You were one of the people pointing out there is no point voting on a third party. If everybody went against that (like... because they're so fed up with the establishment. Makes more sense than going with the, albeit an unorthodox, republican candidate :D) it would show how its only between the ears of the american people.
Sure he beat the other republican candidates, but it is arguable he would have beaten a more suitable/likeable democrat candidate (remains theory at this point unfortunately). That third party candidates have so little chance in your country is not because they're not suitable or others are more glorious. It is, and you know this very well, because in your country's current situation only 2 parties matter. That's why I and many others say the american people got what they deserve, and not just the ones who voted on Trump.

Ok, first of all I will readily admit that was a generalisation ;): MOST americans got what they deserve. The ones who voted democrat for all the wrong reasons, the ones who voted republican of course, and especially the turds who didn't vote at all. The ones who voted third party (unless they did it for the wrong reasons :p) did, IMO, not get what they deserve. I think they deserve something better.

The U.S. has always been a two party system.

I agree another Democratic candidate may have won, or maybe not. I believe Trump won because Clinton spoke in an intellectual manner and only the intellectuals listened to her. Unfortunately many of them didn't vote.

Trump spoke to the ignorant red necks (my new non politically correct language) using lies, empty promises, and double talk which they swallowed hook line and sinker, being the shallow non informed 6th grade reading level people that they are.
    And they voted.

    Third party candidates were irrelevant.

May have suited the U.S. for a long time. But really doesn't seem to be working for the country or its people anymore. And it doesn't have to be, as there are already alternatives.

As long as the american voter thinks so and act upon that thought.

He did. Among others. They were not the only ones who voted for him. How did he got Florida? Just because of the rednecks?

Agreed. But his main opponent had also something to do with his succes. You know it.

I would say the perception of his opponent which has been distorted and lied about for 40 years.

That also didn't help :p But hey, Trump got some of that as well. And who was supposed to have the intellectual followers? ;)

And besides the lies and slandering (which seems standard in your democracy in election time) there was also enough valid criticism.
