It would be great to be friends with Russian politicians.
I think the problem is how putin is against gays and seems to want to renew the cold war.

I am skeptical but hopefull that things with Russia will go well.

You go from one post saying there was no crime to insulting trump for (allegedly) having ties to putin which last I saw was not a crime.

In other news I have done lsd. Mushrooms. Coke. Special k. Pot in a state where it's not legal. I have stolen and destroyed property.
Everything above I did was against the law. Yet nobody ever said I did a crime connected to those things. Does that mean I didn't commit a crime?

They can't learn from them because they are not their mistakes. They are someone else's mistakes that destroyed a perfectly good agenda-driven plan to "make history". Again.

How many democrats have ever admitted being wrong? I mean without the lawsuits etc.

I guess I am just a simple mind then, because I have compared his speeches (including his acceptance speech) with those of Mussolini and Hitler, among other things that he has done. But, there was a time when I was paid a 6-digit salary and a hefty bonus for my opinions and forecasts, and they included political, social, and economic factors. I could probably do it still today, but I'm more interested in not working, and just writing philosophy all day (if only my wife would let me sit at the computer that long...). My forecasts were all generally spot on, which was unfortunate for Japan when I predicted in fall '88 their credit crisis and economic turmoil that would start the new decade. On the other hand, I did predict, in the wake of the '87 crash, and as the US headed into another recession in the late 80's, that the US Would lead the world economically into the 21st Century (so many had bet on Japan, or China, even Germany...).

Does this mean that Trump is the next Hitler? Not necessarily----what very few people realize is that in the 1930's, while Germany and Italy fell to fascism, Japan became victim to its own military State rule, China saw the rise of the Red Army under the leadership of Mao Tse Tung, and Russia underwent its own increased nationalism through Stalin's 'Great Purge' (and the shift from Trotsky's ideas of a spreading international revolution to the Soviet Union as the sole true Socialist state), that even America experienced a strong rise in Nationalism. There was a strong shift to the right clear around the globe.

I have a Japanese schoolbook from the 1930's, which I found in a used bookstore in Osaka. It is filled with stories and lessons about duty to State and Emperor, and glorifying Japan (I speak and read fluent Japanese). It is very much like a Hitler Youth propaganda film I had seen years earlier (translated into English). But then it is also very much like a film I saw that same night that was meant to teach American youth about a love for their country and was produced at the same time as that Hitler Youth film.

We see the same thing happening in the world today. Too many countries have, what they themselves label as their own Trump----The Russian Trump, the Philippine Trump, etc. Brexit was another example. There is a growing isolationism, racism, nationalism.

It makes one wonder if we are again heading to a World War. Would Trump be the new Hitler, or just one of the tough guys that goes after him? The problem is that 2 and 3 year olds interact with an attitude of ‘mine!’ and will immediately strike out at another if his/her space is invaded or his/her toy is taken. They don’t yet know how to share, and if they want something they just take it. Adults know how to cooperate, compromise, negotiate, and share. They don’t just strike out at another. They understand control.

It is very telling that for the first time, we have elected a president that the world’s dictators, and despots have praised. Philippine’s President Duterte (who is responsible for, as of the last time I checked, over 2,300 extrajudicial murders in his country since he assumed office in July), said, “He is just like me.” And when the news broke that he won the election, the Russian Parliament clapped as if they had finally just landed a man on the moon.

And just to keep it clear---I am not a conspiracy theorist, I do not believe in any New World Order, or some crazy secret world government or controlling bankers.

Unless you meant to use the word command, order, direct, or force, rather than incite, I did answer the question---and there are plenty more examples that I, and others, have provided in this thread. The definition in dictionary.com is “to stir, encourage, or urge on; stimulate or prompt to action: ‘to incite a crowd to riot’.”

And this is exactly what he did in the examples I provided. It doesn’t matter how much people acted on it. He incited anger, racism, xenophobia, and sexism. And if you think that this was innocent and without consequence, you are very wrong, and could probably use a class in Social Sciences. Every time he offended someone, or some nation, made it OK for others to do so too. This is why the alt right was so in love with him, and why such white supremacy hate groups, such as the KKK and the Nazi Party openly endorsed him and stated that the rise of Trump means their time has finally come.

I never spoke of a video of Trump supporters beating people on the streets. But there are several videos of Trump supporters beating people at rallies. One example is the older man in the black cowboy hat that elbowed the black protestor in the face and knocked him down. He then boasted to reporters something about having to hit him in those ‘big fat lips’ (whatever his exact words were), and added that if he comes back again, “…we may have to kill him.”

In any event, the day he announced that he was running for the presidency was the day he stopped being ‘just some rich guy.’ From that point on everything he says has the potential of inciting something. Thinking that someone in that position does not have any influence is like Paul McCartney back in ’67 or so when he told a reporter that he doesn’t think any teenager will take drugs just because he did.

And is it just bravado? I have had a long career in the Stock Market, and because of that I have observed and known about Trump since the early 80’s. This included working for one of the investment banks he defrauded on a mortgage deal that he is proud of as ‘good business.’ There was no change in character just to get elected, no mere campaign rhetoric and bravado---this was the same arrogant self-centered narcissist that he has always been. In fact, weeks before the election, his daughter boasted to reporters that, unlike other politicians, he is not fake: “What you see is what you get” (her words). The truth is, he is a pathological liar, except with his feelings---he has no filter, and that was a constant problem for his campaign, his kids, his surrogates, and anyone that had to answer for him or defend him. Surely you watched the news on him as well, right? Since you voted for him? (To nail my point home, Judge Curiel, in the current ongoing fraud and racketeering case against him over Trump University, just denied a motion that Trump tried to put forth to not use comments he made during and for his campaign against him.)

Facts vs. feelings? Don’t you know anything about Trump? Have you ever really listened to his speeches? There are all kinds of facts out there that say, he should have never become president. He bragged about bank fraud in an autobiography in the early 80’s (and I worked for one of the investment banks that was defrauded), he has a long history of racism, he has fails at just about any business he attempts outside of real estate, he hired illegal aliens and then didn’t pay them, he is constantly entering into contracts, and then breaching them, only to bully the victims in court when they try to make compliant (there are many such cases pending right now)------there are all kinds of red flags.

P.S. Oh man! I thought I posted this last week----We just got back from the hot springs where we have been recuperating since about Thursday evening. Looking at the news over the weekend already proved my point-----with all the many incidents of racism happening all over the country. I talked to a Native friend today, and he said that last Thursday, even here in Colorado, his daughter and another Native girl at their rural High School were told to “Go back to the Reservation!” and a teacher heard it and did nothing. He said that there were Hispanic kids that were afraid to go to school.

That's all well and good, but so far you have still not actually called him Hitler. I'm sure I could draw Hitler parallels to people like Tony Robbins, Walt Disney, Thomas Edison and of course Al Sharpton!

I still think some of the claptrap I hear about Trump and Hitler is trite and childish, mostly disseminated by kids who just can't get over the election results. Reminds me of the dehumanizing effect of propaganda portrayed in "Faces of the Enemy", a brilliant documentary.

I guess Trump is planning on keeping Guantanamo Bay open. Just thinking, where is he going to jail all the illegal immigrants when they refuse to leave or launch legal challenges etc.?

My understanding and this is from http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/president-elect-trump-on-immigrants-he%E2%80%99ll-deport/ar-AAkf9gd?li=BBnb7Kz a reliable source. He doesn't plan on going after illegal immigrants that aren't doing anything. At least not at first.. He's targeting those who have extensive criminal backgrounds, drug dealers, gang members, etc.

Also, his first priority is to secure the borders. Then he will take issue with who all is within them.

The left has a violence problem. I bet they'll put together their own version of the Tea Party within the next 18 months.

This has been a good year,

    First we had Brexit
The NFL is losing viewership because of Kapernick's politics
SJWs experienced the most epic atomic blast of triggering
Mainstream media journalists have lost all public trust and credibility
Caitlin Jenner came out as a conservative and now the SJWs who once held her as their queen, now hate her/his guts
Race baiting and identity politics have been rejected by the public
And the most corrupt political criminal enterprise that the US has ever seen finally got defeated
