57.5% of eligible voters voted in 2012

You dont even get 2/3 of the eligible populace voting

How are you ever going to send Washington a message if just over 1/3 or the people around you cant even be arsed voting?

You're right of course. If we can't get the butts off the sofa, why should the elites feed us anything BUT dog food?

As complex as things are it seems like the only message they will understand is strategic assassinations. I seriously hope it doesn't come to that, but the system in the US has become so huge and unwieldy that common people have little recourse. Voting is an assigned privilege in most nations, which makes me question validity regardless of who "wins".

We may be hearing about the "Lone Gunman" sooner than we think if this election goes awry. Threats have been flying in all directions, so there's no telling who it will be. The safe bet used to be some conservative/evangelical gun nut. These days they aren't the ones pulling triggers.

It appears the Democrats and Republicans are working together,,,,to defeat Trump.

And while the recovery has been somewhat feeble, it's still a recovery, despite the Republican partisanship. And yet there are still those who claim Obama has accomplished nothing in 8 years.

I hope the Dems get a majority in the house and senate, it's seems it's the only way we'll ever break this gridlock.

Is that so? Independent polls suggest otherwise

How many Republican leaders spoke out against him in the aftermath of Pussygate?

BTW, calling that an independent poll is giving it too much credit. It's independent of credibility.

Sure. I won't deny that there are plenty of Paul Ryans and Bill Kristols who represent the ugliest side of the GOP. I also realize that Bush Sr. is supporting Hillary. But their era is coming to an end. The neocons are no longer fit for purpose and won't be around much longer after this year.

That is a very good point---and normally I talk about the fact that people should be happy there is a recovery.

A credit crisis is a depressionary event---it almost always leads to a depression. Bush had the opportunity to save the economy in 2008, he made several key mistakes, and by late 2008 we were on the path for depression. Very very few people realize how Obama and the Federal Reserve saved us.

People have complained that Obama has done nothing for them and the economy ever since----but how can anyone expect an economy to rise up from a credit crisis as it does from a typical recession. That just does not happen. However, just think how better we could have done if he had gotten support and the GOP did not fight him every step of the way.

I had a front row seat to the credit crisis in Japan that began on the first day of 1990. In fact, not only did I have a front row seat, as an analyst at Shearon-Lehman Hutton, I predicted it as early as October 1988----and I said that it would happen at the beginning of 1990 (the time and actual level of the Nikkei, which I also predicted, involved a bit of luck and gut feeling).

The Japanese did not fall into depression either, despite their follies and mistakes. What saved them is that the Japanese have a ridiculous propensity to save. But their recession lasted from 1990 until the start of our credit crisis in 2007, at which time they were just starting to recover----until our credit crisis pushed their fragile economy back into recession.

Compared to Japan we have done very well in handling the crisis from 2009 going forward. We were very lucky to have Obama and Greenspan when we did. Since then there were things I would have done differently-----been more courting to the Chinese, and would not have let Geithner smart off at the mouth about the Chinese (and he was lying anyway---the Chinese were not manipulating their currency, they were simply trying to maintain a peg to the US Dollar, and it was causing a lot of distress in their domestic economy to do it. We were the ones manipulating our currency----keeping the dollar artificially low). I would have been more proactive in shifting US debt into the medium term treasuries, and even the longer term. But they have done pretty good. In fact, all things considered, our economy is pretty good compared to Japan in terms of recovering from a credit crisis.

Speaking of economics----another thing that blows my mind about Trump supporters is that they are willing to take us back to trickle-down economics. Can't they see that this was part of the problem that led us down the path to the credit crisis? Can't they see that the current economic inequalities in the US is directly tied to the trickle down economics that began with Reagan? Trickle down economics is what gave the 1% so much of its power!

The idea that giving the wealthy a bunch of money is going to stimulate the economy and help everyone, is very clearly flawed. Just look at the increasing wealth and income disparity since the Reagan years!

I had some respect for Anonymous before watching this video. Now I'm not so sure about them. I seriously doubt that 2/3 of voters support Trump, but if that is true he will win in a landslide.

Last spring Anonymous announced a hacking war against Donald Trump. I guess nothing ever came of it (as far as I know). I guess the tables have turned now. Just the fact that all this slimy corruption behind the DNC and the mainstream media has already turned me from a hater to a Trump voter this election as a protest vote against all the wrong doings and deception.

Did anyone check out these pollsters? Apparently, they placed 1,000 calls to each of the 50 states. That isn't how polls are conducted, it's a flawed poll conducted by people who don't know what they're doing.

Those 1000 phone calls per state were not random. They called an equal number of registered democrats, republican, and independents per state. However I can see your argument that even this poll could be fallible.

Could this be a teleprompter in Hillary's podium? At first I just assumed this was more noise and rumor, and that the glare was nothing more than light reflecting off the glossy lacquer wood finish. But she did look down an awful lot.

It could be they did hack him and couldn't find any dirt worth publishing. I'm not saying there is no dirt, only that he could be smart enough to keep it off of his servers.

The only thing all this did was make me detest hackers more than ever...detestable busy bodies like little worms crawling into everyone's private buisiness and twisting and turning whatever they find t osuit their own agendas at any given moment.

I think they are the type that would read your diary, too, if they lived with you on the sneak.

If they're exposing government corruption, they are good people in my book. Michael Moore's too.

I don't care what Michael Moore thinks about it. I just read the other day, he is voting for Hillary now....whatever...

In response to your statement, and who will expose the corrupt little hacker's business?

I don't need hackers pointing things out to me. I don't believe them anyway. ...so keep your plurs and peace to yourself.

Assange, whatever his name is...gives me the creeps...

Well I have yet to see Clinton, Podesta, or any of the other crooks come forward with undenyable evidence that ANY of the e-mails were hoaxed and all made up.

If we don't keep our own government in check, we become their slaves. Government must fear the citizens.
