I was thinking this morning about the excitement of first time barefoot experiences, either visiting new places, meeting someone or going in somewhere for the first time. I love the sense of anticipation, wondering if you really should or not, especially if its something outside my comfort zone, doing something that 99.9% of people would never imagine doing barefoot. Visiting a new town or city is always fun, but it doesn't have to be anything big, thinking about the first time I went for a haircut or the opticians etc barefoot. Going on a first date is another good one, I've had mixed reactions, hopefully the one I'm going on today will be positive. There have been a few times I've wimped out and worn flip flops, going to the dentist last year was one time, I was all set to go barefoot then thought better of it, probably the right call. There are a few places I would never go barefoot or even wear flip flops, but not many. I do enjoy all my usual barefoot activities, especially just going about my daily business doing the things everyone else does, but without shoes. I don't think there's a single road in this town, or the nearby ones, I haven't walked barefoot on over the years, but it is definitely a thrill to do new things barefoot.
So is your date with the lady you met at your BBQ that you mentioned in your other post? Either way, good luck! Hopefully she thinks going barefoot is cool and wants to as well!
