My uncle had a Shar-Pei. He was a chill dog, a sweet little guy. Had problems with his vision, and breathing, which is typical of the breed. But they're good dogs I hope they find this little guy a good home - he deserves better than wherever he came from. I just hope he didn't have it too rough BEFORE this happened
Story recently here was some scum bags through a huge trash bag out of their moving vehicle ....someone saw, and opened the bag...bunch of kittens and cats...2 were dead from trauma, and others had injuries...but they are being cared for now and some have been adopted out already. Talk about f bag people.
its on a daily they have news about dog abuse here. the most recent puppies tossed in the trash bin. they was recovered. if a dog makes the internet its 100% saved, give that no doubt.
Not saying what happened here was correct but there's a lot of judgment going on... Maybe, just maybe the owner could no longer care for the dog, tried to find placement and couldn't. Didn't want to take him to a shelter that puts older dogs down... Instead taking him to a place where he would be noticed and rescued. He was placed there with love, note all his things were placed nicely with him and he is on a lead... It's not like he was thrown under the train like a total jackass would do. Have some respect, people.
I can easy see someone grabbing up that dog and loving it forever. heck I love it already its got a meme of its own saying take me im yours.
Nope...no respect for people who throw animals out of moving cars....Happens alot around here, too...and on highways. My dental hygenist...love her dearly....rescued a dog thrown out of a car and gave it a good home with her.
there was a doctor in my town who adopted a German shepherd, went on vacation to Florida 4 days later with his dog, tied his dog up on the street, then came back home. the dog was taken to a German shepherd rescue who traced it back to its owner and started circulating a photo on facebook of the dog. The picture made its way to someone in my town and was eventually picked up by a local news station. I'm pretty sure the doctor has lost 3/4ths of his patients because who wants a doctor who can't even find any compassion for his dog. Karma is a bitch.
however, I am with tyronswood in the case of the dog in the OP. Someone clearly loved the dog to leave all its belongings with it. Maybe they lost their home or a million other scenarios and couldn't care for it anymore.
It is similar..... and anyway is the dog story true really? Almost looks like a comic, too....perfect dog sitting perfectly at train station....dog for dude....lol but abandoned animals is what i thought of...and having seen my dental hygenist today....it was on my mind anyway....what? People cannot have stories that are related to topics around here?
if true...that dog at least has a good chance, so the people were kind with him at least....but some people are terrible.
People seriously need to understand that when you get a pet you have to commit to the pet. This makes me so upset. Poor pup, he deserves better.
I AM NOT! Where did that come from? I did judge people who threw animals out of windows...and i will condemn and curse them as well.....
Yeah.... and then everything it your world comes crashing down in an instant. No food, no home, no job, no ability to find a job, nobody to turn to for help, no reliable rescue service for the pet, nothing at all and I mean absolutely NOTHING... What then? It happens all to often. I guess it would be better to take that dog to a shelter and have them put down? As I said in my first post, I'm not saying this was the correct thing to do, but I'm also not the person involved and we don't know what they went through to get them to this point. Do you seriously think this person, whoever they are, planned this in advance "I'm gonna get a dog, hang onto him for awhile and then leave him at a train station... Be hella funny" And yes, equating this story to animal abuse stories about tossing dogs from cars is judging the person that placed this dog in the situation they did. If we don't know the circumstances we should not make judgments about this person. Maybe I've just been too close to that edge, hell, I'm still too close to that edge. After my babies died in that fire two years ago I could have adopted another dog or two. Picked up a couple of rescue cats and loved them more than I love myself, but I knew the insurance money would run out and then what? They would have gotten food and I would do without... but what if the "what if" happened? I'm that close to the edge and I knew better. Maybe this person got the "what if" and didn't see it coming.
There has been an update to this story, the person that put this dog at the train station has come forward... Clearly this person should never own a dog, in my opinion, because it was abandoned because it wasn't the "right kind of dog". But I still stand by what I said... Until we know we can't make assumptions. There are very sad situations that come along, totally unseen, where people have no other recourse than to let their beloved companion go because they can no longer care for them. Yes there are better ways to do this and there are worse ways to do this. In this case the dog is going to be fine, there have been so many offers for adoption that they are going to have a hard time checking every one to make sure it's the right situation for Kai...
