IMHO I have worked in a jewelry store a couple of times in my life ( most of the time I worked at home repairing watches) and can say that you can't judge a book by it's cover.
Many times very straight lace ladies would say things like,
"what do I have to do for you to lower the price ( obvious message of an illicit intent)
"Fuck you! that cost too much"
Then Mr Billy business man who is a closet cheap skate
or the dreaded customer of all!
    The "OLD LADIES"

Old ladies enjoy making you really work for it, you'll empty the display cases and then they say " I was just looking"

I found blacks to be the best customers, they never complain about price and are only too happy to pay full price. This I believe is because they like to brag about what they paid for something.

I know this is not restaurant business but just my observation.

    Peace
    Dan

That's the racialist thinking I'm talking about. Do you realize how much a cop out your post is?

Tell me you've never been annoyed by the behavior of rednecks! But rednecks are rednecks, they are not "white people."

Somehow, "ghetto types" are black people.

If they are not tipping we're obv talking about class dynamics and not race.

You're arguing semantics which is just silly and beyond the point.

You are arguing semantics. I'm talking about the fact that some people have less money in their pockets than others. You're talking about your preconceived notions about black people that you conjure up in your head in the dark.

I don't know if I would say racist, but certainly closed minded as plenty of white, asians, etc... do not tip either.

    Lulz.

Don't go out and eat at a restaurant if you don't have the money to tip.

I have no preconceived notions. My notions are very conceived and rather justified. I've heard hundreds of complaints about how ghetto ass black people don't tip well.

Incidentally, if the OP had said poor people rather than black people there would be no argument and the causal relationship between their behavior and the OP's experience would be obvious.

But Americans feel absolutely prohibited from thinking about class. So, race it is.

Not all ghetto ass black people are poor, hell, most of them simply invest their money into crap and are too damn cheap to tip, or even worse... feel like they shouldn't tip because of some superiority complex.

And the rednecks? Somehow I think you've heard plenty about them too but it registers less because it doesn't confirm the boundaries of the picture frame that binds your fragile outlook together.

I did read that. The funny thing is that you didn't associate church or country people with whiteness. That's my only point.
