LUNGES. fucking lunges. dammit. just thinking about them makes me mad. i think i have some hindbrain instinct screaming at me that i'd damned well better have an exceedingly sharp weapon in my hands if i'm doing fucking lunges, because clearly, i must be fighting for my life to even attempt them.
i was doing squats one day. i stripped the bar back down to 135 to start doing some box squats (squat to box, then back up) and some guy takes the collars i was using to keep the weight from shifting on the bar, and potentially falling off if i couldn't stabilize the weight. he puts them on a e-z curl bar. doesn't even use it for a good 15 minutes. during this time i put a good amount of weight back on the bar. he then comes over and just as i was about to lift the bar out of the rack, asks me if i was still using the bench - i was using the bench to sit back on for the box squats - i gave him the most evil look i could give.
Of course, she is a mama. I feel all these pulls on my attention and they drive me insane sometimes. Winding down is needed.
only with an audiobook. i have to shut off my brain, and i can't do that just looking at boring, slowly passing scenery. my version of hiking is just a run through the trees, i don't even realize i'm not looking around.
Yes, it is extremely important for parents to get away from their kids on occasion. Leave them with family or a sitter, and just go do something they want to do.
OH THOSE ARE MY FAVORITE I love them so much. Esp with some music on, just go go go. I need to work out at the beginning of the day though or it doesn't happen. So it hasn't happened lately.
We regularly walk this track in a park. There is a big pond with a fountain in it and ducks galore, and there are always people out having fun, football/soccer/basketball/baseball practices. A lot to watch, and then we tend to use it as a time to talk about fun stuff - sports, TV shows, movies, what happened at work, family, etc. Then after we're done we sometimes will go feed the ducks.
Dont listen to KC she gets her excersize. I mean just yesterday she got in a full workout while the kids were at the neighbors house.
I like to go first thing in the morning, too but that never works out during the week, so we go after work during the week, but on saturday we get up at 0:dark:30 and workout, then when we get back I do yard work. After all that I come in and have a nice cold jacuzzi. Then I get showered and I am feeling good the rest of the night.
I love to go hang out in the sauna afterwards. I'm always in a much better mood after I have worked out. Andy definately encourages it. He encourages that wine and beer too
Are you a talkative fellow? I can't imagine talking much while taking my walks. But it might depend on the person....duhhhhhhhhhhhhrrrrrr!
Depends on who I am around. I am always walking with my wife so we talk. I'm not talking to random strangers.
love the elliptical. i think i mentioned somewhere else today that elliptical machines are the only way i can actually run for extended periods of time without ending up in traction with bruised breasts and busted knees and hips.
