See, I think I'm a better listener online than face to face. Are you more truthful or less online? Are you more outgoing or less online? This online environment is pretty disturbing actually.
I'm a better listener in real, I am not much of an outgoing person too unless i really like the company.
I think I feel there are less risks online than in real life, I am generally more relaxed when communicating online.
I am a lot louder in 'real life'. The only thing that RT helps me improve is the acidity of my humour. I can laugh at people on here that in real life would probably piss me off.
Don't take offense, but I can actually see that. They say the same thing about me. Unless I'm in my good moods.
yeah exactly. mostly HF is just good for humour. In "real life", i actually care about the few friends in my life, and family. And I listen, and i'm actually sweet and nice because they mean a lot to me.
I think it helps prepare me for the different personalities I get in the field, especially the you know what ones praxis. *cough* PUA haters *cough* It also helps me tinker with a lost art of sorts with interenet game. Whateva though, it ups my communication skill fasho!
I'm in conversations at work/school all the time where I want to hit backspace and go back to the main page.
I'm a much nicer person in real life than I am online. The nature of my position* on these forums requires me to be a "nasty, bad, naughty" person online... I don't post much in RT, so I can't say it's affected my communication skills one way or another. Although ever since the WWW came into existence my typing skills have improved, while my handwriting has become so illegible I don't even recognize it as mine! * Wide Stance
