Does "Leftism" Destroy Everything It Touches? Or Is That Just Another Slogan from P.U.?

It isnt about eliminating wealth, it's about eliminating extreme wealth inequality and ensuring everyone has access to healthcare, a good education, a clean environment in which to live, a fair shake in the justice system, etc.

It's easy to put down "the left" (they're not a monolith) and disregard what they stand for when you misrepresent their arguments, isnt it?

Okay, we're done here. You'd "rather" be middle class than be able to buy six cars and four homes because others around you are in need???
    Yikes!!!
I actually thought you were smart. Fuck me and my intuitions!

So, take it easy, get just enough to get by, watch those around you continue in need. There's a plan!

La palabra 'pendejo' está sonando en mi mente, como esas canciones que no se quiten.

And we believe what they tell us! While criticizing tweets from "the bad orange man" and watching the social media platforms ban people who dare speak out against the mainstream narrative.

Not how I see it. Feel free to go ahead and throw an actual argument, if you feel so inclined.

You want to "fix" "Extreme wealth inequality" eh?
That's easy to eliminate. Just eliminate personality and ability diversity, do away with extreme intelligence inequality, and obliterate extreme motivation inequality. Once we're multiple copies of the same person, we'll stand a much bigger chance of contributing equal value.

Your other points are good, and achieveable.

    Again with the misrepresentation
Eliminating extreme wealth inequality is not the same as eliminating all wealth or making everyone the same. I'm not sure why you would even jump to that, unless you're being deliberate and purposeful about misrepresenting the argument.

Why would I throw out an actual argument, just for you to misrepresent it? No thanks, I know how that goes. I'm not here to argue and attempt to change a mind that cant be changed. I'm just here to call you out on your logical fallacies

    Thank you come again

  7. What I find interesting these days is that while we have so many innovations, not just technology, but innovations in understanding, we still keep clinging to ancient ideas. But as I've said before, we're working with brains made for surviving in the wild. So we have to expect that our primitive side will continue to haunt us for centuries and millennia to come.

More recently we are actually debating which old fashioned system is "the best". Some say capitalism is the only way, others say socialism will save us. Is that really the best we can do? Where have any of the governmental systems of the past ever proven themselves to live up to their proposed ideals? I've heard it argued that capitalism is the most enduring because it works. But where do we see actual capitalism?

Nowhere. Because anyone who claims to be implementing it quickly realizes that infrastructure has to be accomplished by more reliable means than a "free" market. Can you imagine a nation where private roadways compete for business. Or private utility companies. Sure, we supposedly live under than now, but not really. They have all colluded to fix prices for commodities and resources.

What I liked about the Matrix was how true to form their representation of people as batteries was. Because that's exactly what we are, financial batteries. And when we start losing our edge, we are shunned out of existence, gradually, as if according to a plan we set in motion. Money has re-engineered resources and efforts to the point we are holding a marionette dearly while a small collection of elite, privileged and of course wealthy people pull the strings.

No matter what government/economic system we try, human nature kicks in and we get people who know in their hearts they are better than the rest of us. Or deserve more for being so benevolent as they climb over bodies to reach the brass ring. Balzac comes to mind a lot these days. He said something like "Behind every great fortune is a great crime". However, I still think that some successful people have reached their fortune honorably. I know some of them.

But I know more of the crafty, greedy, ownership-driven sort who'd sell me or anyone out to get a promotion/raise/car/airline ticket or parking space. The few millionaires I know are crafty, but very happy. Especially when they close a fat deal. How will we ever have a sane government with human beings running the show?

Eventually, when supressed enough, humans will revolt to get back to a free enough market to be able to assert their dominance in some form or another. I don't expect biological instincts to ever evolve away -- our continued existence kinda depends on them. hahaha obviously. But... if the social engineers ever team up with the synthetic biologists...
    Yikes.
I guess that would essentially be 'the matrix'.

  10. I can only wonder if we might see a renaissance of altruism in our future. Not the religious sort, most often used to collect souls (and tithes), but something that makes the health of people and the planet a bit more important. After all, Mars is not our lifeboat.

I mean, there ARE people who are trying to make the health of people and planet a priority, and they're made fun of and their positions twisted and misrepresented in videos like the one referenced in the OP (I'm assuming, at least. Because I'm not wasting my time watching the video)

The premise of the video is that the left destroys everything it touches yet people on the left are the ones fighting for universal healthcare and environmentally friendly policies

I'm crushed! You don't like me. I don't like greedy materialists. Social Darwinists turn me off, so that makes us even. Except I never thought you were smart.

I clicked the video... about as substantive as a Fox News alert about liberals destroying Christmas by saying Happy Holidays.

What can be stated without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

Amazing! Let nature take its course! Keep on following our Social Darwinist agenda in pursuit of unbridled greed until we push too far and people roll out the guillotines. How stupid. Couldn't possibly exercise some restraint, rationality and moderation. That wouldn't be "biological". Biologist E.O. Wilson, the father of sociobiology, thinks that even before the advent of modern humans, our ancestors evolved a separate module responsive to collective needs, as opposed to selfish ones--a development that was essential to the survival of societies humans kinda depend on for their continued existence. hahaha. That inclination, along with natural empathy and reciprocal altruism, was honed by the great world religious and ethical teachers into a sense of social morality. Some psychopaths and sociopaths never got it, and there seem to be more and more of them, in high places and on social media--putting our survival in danger.

    Search "The Four Agreements".

    Now you're assuming.
I don't dislike you - I haven't met you. Some of the ideas you write are clownish but we all learn over time. At least you try to put a cohesive argument out which is more than most people are capable of.

Spoken like a true conservative. Kudos!

It seems some rightwingers feel strongly enough about climate change that they've resorted to threats of armed violence to prevent a vote on the matter--another illustration of how "Rightists" are destroying our political institutions. Oregon Statehouse Shut Down After Lawmakers Team Up With Right-Wing Militias Rightists ruin everything. The Oath Keepers, self-appointed "guardians of the republic", need to be disbanded as a terrorist organization. But with Trump in office nationally, these lawless insurrectionist bullies will continue to ride roughshod over civil order.

I think the governor of Oregon is going to use state laws to go after them. They belong in a prison and should never see daylight again. These right wing extremists use guns to intimidate other Americans and the state police should round them up accordingly pursuant Oregon law. Starting January 2021 their guns and diesel pickups should be confiscated by the government. Come January 2021, I want to see a federal provision to require (a) a psychological examination of every gun owner by a government selected psychologist. (b) I want a government selected dentist/doctor to examine these gun nuts for evidence of meth use. (c) I want a PHD Political Scientist from the federal government to interview them before their guns are ever returned to them. The American people need to feel safe in their home towns and in the schools were their children learn to be contributing citizens. The American people like me have a right to visit national parks and wildlife sanctuaries without fire-arm backed threats from these gunslingers.
