Oh no, it's Americans... as in the people.

Just like it's the Arabs, and not their government.

You can say a lot of them are like that, But yeah i am officially a Muslim and I dont want to kill you, yet ;)
Trust when i say this, the problem is not with the religion...Sure there are violent texts here and there, but for instance Christianty has those texts too, yet you dont see you dont see christian terrorists groups (although I am sure there are but they are not as many as muslims')
The problem is with the people.

Yeah, it's very hard for me to not get mad at the American people, because they're largely to blame for the situation we're in. At the same time, I realize most Americans have been subjected to massive amounts of brainwashing via the media and education system.

but I have to say, Americans as a populace have been doing a great job at verifying stereotypes about them being ignorant philistines in the eyes of the world.

The problem is with the people, and with their culture, which is based on their interpertation of their religion... which is Islam.

So it goes back to the religion, which was created by people in the first place... so the problem is in the people.

Point being... the people and the religion they practice are practically the same thing, or at least an inter-connected circular entity

It's not the American people the world hates and enjoys poking fun at, it's the underlying values and cultural anomalies that make people American that the rest of the world feels uncomfortable with. It is the way of life, the quality of life and the institutions upholding such a peculiar tradition, the legs to the table if you will, that aim to uphold an unambiguous center of power, influence and control over the same American people that are keeping it up that is easy for the rest of the world to view and criticize.

that's just it with arabs as well. the governments, yours and theirs, are indoctrinating the people to "hate" others for arbitrary reasons, so as to unite them against the common enemy and control them more easily.

I dont think so. Not even the pope can live a life fully on religeous practise, because its a made up concept. Religeon is just clothing people wear to make them feel good, like eating ice cream and driving a hybrid car.

    Yeah, sure...

But people in almost every country in this world have been subject to a whole lot of brainwashing.

The Soviet Union desperately tried to brainwash people, yet the people resisted, per example.

The American people are just too comfortable and distracted to care. It's as if they are cuddled into apathy.

People need to get over their conditioning and realize WE'RE ALL HUMAN. All these religions were created to divide us, because out of division comes the conquering of everyone by the elite few who control and administer ALL sides to meet their own ends. Many Jews I have met are just as hateful of Muslims, as Muslims are of Jews, so it's silly to point the finger at one group of people when we're all products of our own indoctrination. If people would just look a little deeper, this illusion that keeps us seperated would dissolve in an instant. This thing is that it's human nature to want to follow rather than lead oneself.

    Very well said.

...and sadly the American people keep on reflecting this.

Jews are only hateful of Muslims because Muslims tend to do everything in their power to kill our women and children for radically idiotic reasons.

...but you do make the most basic and honest idealistic point... we're all human. Sadly human kind is too damn stupid to realize this.

    Oy vey.

That might be true in one way that muslims interpret the religion according to their culture....But there is more than one interpretation, there are muftis shiekhs from well known established religious institutions that you can effectively call them terrorists, and there as much muftis/shiekhs who are NOT, and people decide between them....When a big portion decides to go with those terrorist gurus, that signals a problem with the people yes , but thats a big assumption to say all are like that.

    Waco.

There are Jewish and Christian terrorist groups alright.

Further, Islamic terrorism is a myth. All you have is governments without a standing army.

I don't think that anyone is saying that "all Muslims are terrorists".

That would indeed be an idiotic thing to say. Yet, as you said... a significant portion of the population joins fanatic terrorist groups, which illustrates that the religion plays a role in it.

Sure it does, think the US salvation army.
When people are really poor in every aspect of life not just financially, and they see those religious terrorist gurus as their saviours...do the math.

Waco along with the Oklahoma City Bombing opened america’s eyes to the real threat within, 9/11 and its aftermath took our attention away from the christian militia groups who are growing stronger day by day, building up thier supplies of guns and ammo while we toil in Iraq and Afghanistan

It's kinda hard to compare them to the fucken Salvation Army (where I just bought a pair of TIGHT ASS glasses for 50 cents yesterday :D)

But I do see what you mean, and I see why people enter these organizations... yet, I also see how their decisions are almost directly influenced by their interpertations of Islam combined with pure utter ignorance.
