That's what the media wants you to think.

You have to admit you haven’t exactly been model citizens of the world over the past 100 years

Why can't you fucking hateful, evil white people just agree that we are all vile scum and must pay reparations to black people for something we never did.

    Who is "you"?

Sounds pretty fucking racist to me... grouping people according to nothing more than the color of their skin.

Last I knew I had nothing to do with the atrocities which have occurred over the last couple hundred years.

Let's not forget that there were blacks who profited off the slave trade while selling their own people out for money.

I find HF could be a lot more racist I mean so many posts could really do with a Johnny Rebel song but I've always stopped myself from posting them, because of the obvious reactions even though the songs themselves have taken a cult status within certain black communities.

Most threads I go through, I read a post and I hear that ol southern style rockabilly and a JReb song comes on in my head. and I laugh because I think it's all a bit of shit stir.

Come on you know I’m just bullshitting [IMG]

Only an idiot would judge an entire race by the actions of a few.

This is what racist white people say when they don't want to accept the realities of society and the inherent advantage we have. They take the statement as a personal attack since they are poor or middle class so how can they harm anyone? It is the man who harms them. So they ignore the facts and say every race is just stupid and lazy and they see them the hard working white man as a target.

I don't know I'm as white as they come and I've never had any issue with someone saying I am racist. It's just simple respect and kindness. My race never came up since it was my character. It's really not that hard. Even the people who say white people are racist. Stop being a victim and do what you need to do to get respect from other people. If you are unwilling to do that for the reaosn I mentioned people will see that lack of acknowledgment as racism. Things like a MAGA hat or a Confederate flag are signs you don't accept this as well. I would guess each of those to you is something important on the concept of free speech and making a statement of refusal to be a victim of race shaming. It's your own personal choice to be disliked on this subject.

Is this an example of identity politics? You are worrying about your race and using it for political reasons when it means nothing. I'm not 100% on what that means. To me it's just someone angry white people say when you call them racist for having old school views of race.

You can not make a horse drink. You can only lead it to water.

In the 20th century whites did seem to be at the extremes...

We got Albert Einstein but Adolf Hitler

There's George Harrison, then there's Charles Manson

You got hippies and yippies (not exclusively white but most notable figures whites) then you got KKK.

Nothing more than what was originally promised, 40 acres, and a mule, and the government can even keep the mule

  14. I feel like that would just make things worse. White people would still be white, and then where would we be? We'd have a bunch of poor pitiful black people with 40 acres and still no respect. 40 acres is nothing, and white people would look down on black people for getting excited about it.

Pitiful and no respect, what does that mean?

  16. By pitiful I don't mean that black people are innately pitiful. I just mean it would be sad for them to expect 40 acres to finally make the races equal.

Not that we aren't equal, and I don't know if it's ego or what, but white people sure do seem to think that they're beautiful. It's like, white people are raised to know they're beautiful. Queen Elsa is beautiful...whatever... While other races in our white American culture are filled with self-doubts.

  17. Just look at all the African girls straightening their hair. Maybe white people actually are just more beautiful. But that doesn't mean anything. Inward beauty is what counts. And I'm white and I'm ugly. And Beyonce is black and she's beautiful. So that doesn't make any sense.

But I do think white people are never subjected to the kind of self-doubt based on their race that black people are. So even if we give black people 40 acres, it's still gonna be the same old situation, where white people are completely oblivious as to what it's like to not be a carefree white person.

I just think 40 acres is going to divide us even more. 'Cause no one really earned it, either. Now the black people are special 'cause they've got 40 acres. And round and round it goes.

It's a bit late to expect land I think too. How do we prove which black person gets it? Some DNA testing and checking the family tree. So many people all will want land and that was really done when there was less people. America has plenty of open space but no infrastructure in much of it. So we need other people to come to this land and make a society.

I do think that certain ones who can prove a family history of slave ownership are entitled some compensation though from the US goverment. Some would want taxes paid by the existing white decedents of the owners. That's a bit unfair to me.

I'm pretty sure every race of people would believe that they're beautiful which is why it's common for same race folks to be attracted to and be with same race folks. Then there are few who find other races more attractive like I think it's common enough to see a white man with an Asian lady. So I don't know how any of that is racism. I think I can point out a trait in any race of people that I admire and find attractive within that particular race of people, for the most part or at least something I've significantly noticed.
