Does hip forums have a lot of racism?

I'm a Ferrari fan boy. They actuly race their cars and what wins there they put into road cars. Lamborghini does not race. They are a tractor maker and Mr. Lamborghini owned a Ferrari and said the clutch sucked. Mr. Ferrari said you just don't know how to drive my car. So Lambo said screw you I will make my own car company.

Ferrari is for real car people. Lambos are for rich people who know it's expensive and fast.

 

I prefer a Ford truck

I like Prius-es. I don't know why. I guess I just feel like economical cars are the way to go.

I don't think racism in any form is acceptable. I try to be considerate and I can tell when other people aren't.

i'm chevy/gmc but i'll take a nissan or toyota (truck, fords are ok too) over anything that consumes massive amounts of fuel to no better purpose then to try and impress anybody.
if i'm gonna have a vehicle because i have to have one to live out in the woods somewhere, it has to be something i can haul a ton of crap in, building materials especially.
not just a bag of groceries.

HF is a microcosm of the world ...racist as shit. I don't mean Skip and Chris of course, or even most of the members, but if you think this is some racist-free utopia, no, just...no.

 

You should have been around here last summer, it was pretty bad. Several members let their true colors show. For example, go to that thread, "Say it with a Gif" and see some of the Gifs posted, and you'll spot some racist overtones there, particularly from one individual whose consistent with it, and sneaks it in once in awhile.

 

It's true in the sense of how people use these words, but actually I think we would all communicate better if we didn't have that attitude of "oh well they all mean the same thing", because they don't, they have nuances. The more specific our words are, the more specifically we can put our thoughts and ideas into words.

 

Criticism (especially constructive criticism) doesn't equal hate or anything anti.
Although there is antichristian and anti rightwing sentiment on here, nobody is anti white or has expressed anti white sentiment. Your 'its ok to be white' comment is especially ludicrous as you're imagining that the opposite is a thing. Utterly pathetic

There's racist stuff all over the internet. I don't take it to heart and let it phase me.

Most of the time, the people who post racist statements, jokes, and memes on the internet are immature kids fishing for a reaction out of people. Many of them don't truly believe the stuff that they post. They're in it to get reactions and troll people, and try to be edge lords. I can understand the desire to be a troll and how fun it can be to stir shit up. But I can't stand racist trolling because it is the most brainless and uncreative way to get a rise out of people. Of course people are offended by racism; it's a disgusting ideology rooted in a collectivist line of thinking. There are better ways to fuck with people than to be a racist. I hope these people who make racist posts realize that their internet past can creep up on them and absolutely wreak havoc on their lives.
