Most roles are cast accurately. All actors are limited by their own body. A role has a certain gender and age in mind. If you don't fit it's not your roll. I have seen some black actors in like stories of King Arthur and I think they were not in England at the time. They are just there to have a black actor. It's not a big deal to me.

I don't care if movies have different actors, but when a director is trying to portray historical accuracy, such as the latest war film Dunkirk, then it's silly to blast them as racist for only casting white actors.

Is it coming to the point where in a way history has to be rewritten or directed as to not offend different skin colors? It's rediculous.

Like I wouldn't expect a movie set in Africa about Africans to contain white people. And nor should it.

A good example is Mel Gibson. His movie portrayals are fairly accurate. When he directed Apocalyptica, it only made sense to use actors who portrayed that south American culture. Nobody had a problem with this. But the moment a story consists of something predominantly white, we need mixed raced actors.

Even the movie Downfall was attacked because Hitler was a little "too German" :tearsofjoy:
Meanwhile the British flick, rise of evil castes a British man to play Hitler. And he was horrible. :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

Many on the Oscar panel admitted they did not see that film. They felt the content along meant it needed awards. I feel that is kind of unfair. Let's have actors of all types but to get an award be the best. It's an old joke in Hollywood. Play a slave, a mentally challenged person, or something Nazi related and you get the Oscar guaranteed.
