For those who believe no proof is ever needed, for those that don't no proof could ever be enough.

i think what people need to understand, isn't so much about religeons and beliefs, and beliefs that don't want to call themselves religeons (and there ARE real spiritual experiences that have nothing to do with any of that), is that knowledge, all of knowledge, is only the tineyest fraction of what can and probably does exist. everything we can immagine might, but more cogently, everything we can immagine is STILL a tiney fraction of what could. where organized beliefs part from reality is when they say only what they name and only how the name and describe it is capable of doing so.

lots of things exist that none of us have immagined and are very very real.
what isn't very likely is that most of what we don't know, and probably never can or will, has the slightest desire to cause us any particular harm.

that's another thing organized beliefs have come up with to manipulate us into buying their pretentions. or i should say the priesthoods of organized beliefs have, because i think their origeonal revealers may have had the best of all possible intentions, (and i mean quiet possibly of ALL beliefs) while organizations and even individuals of every sort, always have agendas of their own.

God exists. Find a quiet place, close your eyes. See that little white way off? Thats not him. Concentrate and search your soul. You'll feel better as long as you try to be better. Or go to the large brick building with the stained glass windows. Put your money in the basket. The only thing I've ever found there is potluck. Potlock would work if thats the kind of hungry you are.

I believe there is a universal force that maintains all processed within this universe, and a universal force that maintains the universes outside of our own, and a universal force that maintains the outermost layer that can be maintained is the God.

I believe that we all have a divine spark within us and that we will all return to the source of that divine spark eventually.

It all started somewhere, and that somewhere is a place science will never quite go.

no, i do not believe in any supreme being or deity. i am an atheist. gods, supreme beings, are something that has been invented by humankind to explain natural occurances which we have not had the ability to comprehend. gods are a comfort zone. gods have as much validity as santa claus, the easter bunny, the great pumpkin, or the tooth fairy.

if people need to believe in something, believe in oneself.

Let me translate the quote for you:
God is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful.

Side note: Have you noticed the bad grammar, poor spelling & typos within the believer’s comments? Again, see my sig.

It's a great quote, especially by someone who made it already more then 2000 years ago. Sometimes I really get overwhelmed what people thought and wrote down in those days already, and also that it's been preserved. :)

I like it more if it really means religion though, since I don't think it's entirely wise to see 'god' per definition as false. Doesn't mean they have to see him as a manly figure that gave one human the ten commandments of course, it just could be anything. Just like lots of people in history interpreted god in lots of different ways. Lots of wise people included.

With out God, there is nothing. God is everything. He is all that is. He am what am. He gave us Jesus to die for us. Read the bible and you may understand that God wants us to be happy and love Him and each and every one of his children; even the smallest animal. He wants us to love our enemies more than family. The reason being that they need help more. Love and whe you do this and you will meet God here on Earth.
