I dont believe all the crap in the bible. Some of it yeah, But really its a trap.. GOD IS ELECTRIC AND GOD IS FOREVER.... 3 PHASE+FLESH+DAMP=TRUTH....
I think the most true statement that can be said about god is. God is whatever we cannot percieve him to be.
actually, i've recently been enlightened to the fact that god is a one eyed one horned flying purple people eater.
Out of interest who says that God cannot be something other than what is written in the classic religions of life? Who are we as humans to define what this all powerful, infinite, unknowable being is? Even the words I use are not close to expressing the truth of the divine. The word god itself is putting this being into constraints that should never have been used in the first place
god is something of your own choosing. or not. we can choose to believe (that something of our own choosing) or not. ~ believer
I didn't used to believe in God, but I did become a Christian when I was 13. I believe the Bible and everything else written and said is to be taken with a grain of salt. I am non-denominational just because I don't believe in the labels, and I do in fact don't even like being called "Christian"... It's all relative and everything I believe is what I believe, not just because someone told me.
the only way you or anyopne will know this for sure is to die first. but it is hard to prove something exists in a controled scientific setting if it's not a tangible thing. love isn't tangible either, but most of us admit that love is a real thing. i'm pretty sure most jamaicans would disagree with you about god just being superstition.
no offense, but's it's an accepted scientific consensus that global warming and cooling was happening way before humans existed. stop listenuing to albert bore
when nietzsche said that god is dead. he didn't literally mean god was physiclaly dead. but that god was out of fashion at the time with european intellectuals. because it wasn't that long before his time that the french enlightenment had occured.
i think that's a likely answer, but it's just as likely that the universe has always existed. but yes, people can have just as much blind faith in modern science as one could in religion.
