Human beings suffer because we cause our own suffering. We can't blame our problems on some great diety high up in the sky above us. We can only blame ourselves. Global warming? Our fault. War? Our fault. Murder of any kind? Our fault, and so on and so forth. This so called "God" cannot control or willnot control what happens down here. Which is why we have this thing called freewill
Even if it wasn't our self caused suffering we shouldn't nag on 'our' God(s) for not helping us out of our misery every time. Have some faith right By the way and slightly off-topic: it's not for sure at all that global warming is our fault. :toetap05:
For sure, and I think it has been debated on these forums in a different thread, but I just thought I'd point it out again
I'm sorry to be rude here, but I do not believe in "god". But I think its wonderful to read all of your guys views and ideas. Though I have many reasons why I do not believe in god or follow an organized religion, but I'm not going to discuss them here. Have a great day!
I do not believe in God persay I do believe that there is one or perhaps more omnicent undefinable beings that order this universe and all other verses in the confines of the multiverse. I believe that it is wrong to attempt to define a being or beings so far beyond human understanding. It serves me quite well to simply say I know it is there but what it is I don't care.
Well I was told that God loves all of his children, so I can't see how the two co-exist. I mean if I was God, I'd make sure everyone lived well, but that's just me.
God is obviously not like you or any of us for that matter. If we keep thinking of God's actions as human and/or always centered about us we are in for some dissapointments. "He's" not some kind of superpower father that is going to save us when we messed up again. Doesn't mean God doesn't love us.
Well why can't he be like superman, and actually do some good, you know, go around saving people, rescuing cats in trees and all that. What has god done for you lately?
We shape our lives, not God. God just gave it to you. It's not about what he can do for you all the time
why don't you people stop writing ramblings about your own personal (and narrow) perception and try to come to an agreement about what modern-people think of religion? reading this threads forum after forum it's a drag.
as our subconcious is to us, as atoms are to molecules, as workers are to a company...workers to a town, men and women to a family, planets to a solar system, ants to a hive, ingrediants in dinner we and everything is what god is. Subjective and indifinitive earth awareness is approaching, our planet will rise and it is up to us as its neurons, immune system, sensory organs and archetects to ensure our god child endures the coming years
Well, modern people obviously think very different about religion. We don't have to come to an agreement. Except the agreement that nobody knows for sure and so we should let people believe what they want. That one would be nice :cheers2:
Most likely not an he, no. I don't generally refer to God as an he, also in this thread. You just caught me on one of the exceptions
After thousands of years in researching the subjects, and putting society's best minds to task, we are now absolutely sure that god may possibly exist... perhaps.... With that said, I'm not sure it matters, whether or not there's an invisible man in the sky that made us, loves us, hates us, whatever, what really matters is how you live for the short time you are given, and that's what every religion and the invention of every god has attempted to help us do... If it helps you to be a better person and love and respect your fellow people down here on the blue ball, then god absolutely exists and he is anything and everything you say, if you don't need that "guidance" then no, there isn't and shouldn't be a god... eh?
