Does Ammonia Disinfect?

We all know bleach kills germs (Clorox is probably making billions off this fact). But what about Ammonia? I have heard conflicting reports on this fact.

BTW I also heard bleach is good for cleaning up crime scenes and disinfecting dirty needles. I am not suggestion you do either of those things. But it is interesting to know.

BTW the crime scene and needle thing really was a joke. I don't know anyone who breaks the law or uses drugs. Really .

 

But if you mix bleach and ammonia together...HOLY SHIT!!!

 

I found out the hard way that that is not fun.

 

My dad made me mix those together to clean up after the dog crap on the floor when I was a kid. I think I got "drain bammage" from that!

 

I started coughing and hacking so hard I ended up vomiting.

So, then, there was more to clean...
