I personally do not use lube I think I feel how nice and soft and smooth it feel although I have made a few strokes in the shower and I does feel good with soap and water but I don't think I get as nice of a feeling of my penis with my hand that way.

Another vote for Albolene, I love the stuff. A little goes a long way, it lasts without getting sticky or gummy, stays in place, no fragrance, just slick enough.
