I have tried to speak of my experiences of God outside of the Bible, but then a number of those on this fourm stated personal experiences count for nothing. And if the Bible validates itself, by demonstrations of truth, why should we deny that truth. I have heard the voice of God, I have stood at the aproches of heaven, I have delt first hand with demons than most donot believe in. Yet, these are only my words, and my experiences. Easy to say such things. Impossible to prove. The Bible has withstood the test of time, and is pointing to us the future to come. And the way of Gods salvation.
I did not say to share with me one's personal experience alone, but to reveal to me the nature of this world as self evident. The nature being God's creation, and the self-evidence being the very threads of creation. Can one do that? Without 'historical fact', or 'prophecy fullfilment'. More importantly, can one reveal that divinity, that Truth as it is told, here, in this moment. Can one being reveal it to another? Can one do that? Or must they resort to interpretations, to perceptions, to beliefs, to personal experiences? Can one prove to another without the dogma, the prophecy and the religious encounters? Can it be shown as reality, as fact, as essence?
We can only really communicate by what we do. If someone carves the word "LOVE" on a baseball bat and smacks someone in the head with it the imprint is going to show up backwards.
Yes! Action! The only communication. Action is life, action is expression, action is dynamic truth. What is stagnant but illusion, wrapped in colorful temptations? "When one sees something very clearly and acts there is no division. One does not learn this from books; it is something one can only learn through self-knowing, something learnt direct, not second-hand. " -Jiddu Krishnamurti
Well said, if people should, could, would ,try to live with love and respect for others we would be much better off and there would no need to worry about the end of time. Remember YOU are NOT to JUDGE Peace & Love
If that was the case we would have to be perfect... and the human race was perfect at a time, but only a short time. Now, even if everyone in the world tried their best there is still no stoping the end times. What is written will happen and the grains of sand are run out of the hour glass.
Well the Bible tells us this world will not be a better place as time moves on. It states that in the last days perilous times will come to the planet, and men will become even more evil than they are now. And it tells us that the last battle on earth will be for the control of Jerusalem. Based on what the Bible has already told us. I feel the Bible speaks with more knowledge and authority than our personal feelings. Don't worry about the end times, prepare for them. When that day of darkness falls on this earth, those who love God, need not fear.
We are judged in different ways. The world is collectively being judged being judged by the actions of us all. For every wrong done to another, there is possible retaliation and possibly further wrong doing. On an individual level, the actions we take in this life affect our soul, what happens and how we feel in the world beyond. If our souls are tormented with feelings of hate and grief then that is most likely what we will experience.
As a back up, John McCarthy. Okay, I feel it is possible that our judgement will come from within. We often act opposite of what we feel is right. Maybe our own memory banks have a red flag next to each time we did that, and our super ego, or subconscious mind, upon our demise, will inform us of our personal oopses. I can't see the God of the Bible, as Christians describe it, judging us. Then Buddha would fail. Can't see it. As for the prophecies. Sure, the bible, esp. revelations has a few intriguing passages, but many other ancient prophecies are far more precise, accurate, and correct. The Hindu Veda description of the times at the end of the Kali Yuga, the present age, are bang on, and the nine signs of the endtimes, as told by the Hopi... well, imo, we are at eight down, one to go. The Hopi ones are, imo, far clearer than Revelations. Many (200?) cultures have prophecied that we are near the big event... whatever it is. Myself, I would be surprised if they are all wrong. As for a date, how about July 17, 2007, just my own wild guess, for the clean up to start. That is the start date, and my guess is that its all over by the Mayan day one for the new age, 21 12 2012.
