Anyone who thinks that it's Obama's fault that gas prices are rising is biased against him and doesn't know shit about gasoline markets. This is one of the issues that really marks Republicans as idiots, like all the ones that think he is a Muslim.
It's actually interesting to note that when the price of gas was going up under Bush's watch Faux News kept stating that the president has no control over the cost of gas and it has nothing to do with him, but if you watch it now it's all Obama's fault... (They also feed the lie that Obama is Muslim)
As if it would be of any importance given his current Posturing in favor of Israel anyhow,,, :2thumbsup:
No matter who's gonna be the next president people will cry all over everything he's doin' anyways. Everybody cries about what Bush "did". Now everybody cries about what Obama "does". He's a clone and what not .... pls get your brains together.
That's exactly what may cause him to lose-not saying I'd vote against him because of that, because I think the health care bill is basically a good idea-but for sure plenty of people will vote against him because of it
If the health mandate is voted down by a 5-4 vote, it will energize progressives and liberals who know they want the next justice to be nominated by a non-Republican. So, I don't think the ruling, if it's negative, to hurt Obama.
And if the Health mandate is upheld by the Court how long before the U.S. becomes another Greece or Zimbabwe?
Oh well, at least Greece doesn't have the death penalty. In fact I can think of a whole bunch of things those two countries do better than the US.
Considering that Romney is likely to be the Republican candidate, it looks like the general election will give you something to look forward to no matter who wins.
Even if I was American, the so-called "left" candidate (Obama) is far too conservative for me anyway, so I don't think any Republican option would provide any consolation.
walsh: Then why are you complaining? If you prefer government from the Left, I wish you success in achieving that for your society.
When something affects me directly I complain. For example, if your government were to become an absolute dictatorship, why would I complain? If you found that acceptable, why should I not?
But seriously.. you don't think the politics of the United States affects me, no matter what country i'm in? The nation has the world's largest military and nuclear stockpile, its economy dominates the commercial world along with the EU, and generally feels the need to play 'world police'. If I were an ordinary honest trader in a small nation in the Middle East, even then I would not be out of the reach of being affected by US policies (I bet oil traders in Iran feel the same way right now).
Exactly why I support Ron Paul over a Democrat or Republican candidate. All the military the U.S. needs is one adequate to protect the U.S. and China is quickly becoming the dominate commercial figure in the world. I don't believe oil traders in Iran are suffering much from U.S. policies, they will always find a way to sell their oil and may even profit more greatly as the U.S. refuses to allow more oil production in the U.S. and the pipeline from Canada as demand only grows.
Germany and Canada have good national health insurance programs-they're not exactly third world countries. They've got good economies and healthy populations
And if he were to win the Republican primary we might once again become a two party political system.
Yes, they're lacking $16 trillion of debt and unfunded liabilities which will only escalate that debt more rapidly over the coming years.
