Considering the fact that regardless of whether or not you voted, your complaints are unlikely to be heard and even if heard by those who hold power, most likely to be ignored unless you are recognized as one who had been or will be a contributor of sizeable sums to the politician/party whose attention/actions you are seeking.

I guess you have the right to complain- -but your complaints seem more justified if you took part in our election system-

Its all bullshit really- so yeah- complain away- - no one who can really make a difference cares anyway

You might consider that not voting can be a form of protest, or a small scale unorganized boycott. After all, the real problem is that those who do vote are just allowing things to get worse by accepting the choices given us rather than demanding we be given at least one acceptable choice.

Do I think we actually have a say in voting? Not entirely, seeing as the IA caucus was likely rigged

Ron Paul 2012! He has something for everyone. Audit the fed, leave marijuana legalization to the states, close 5 immoral federal departments, and 0% income taxes!! I look up to him so Much.

Google 'the daily paul' for.more info about this humble, charming old man

I can agree with that, we should push for a more organized protest though..Spread the word and emphasis the cause instead of a just the personal prefrence...
Not to say people aren't intitled to their prefrences it just doesn't seem to make much head way or even matter when an individual expresses what they think.
I vote nelloe.... (i dont know if i spelled that right but its what you claim in spades when you don't think you can gain any sand baggs.)

I wonder what would happen if a significant amount of people per voting district went in to vote and declined to dew to there only being choices they made for us (actually go down there rather than having our own personal protest inside the confines of our own home.)

All rights can be taken to an exstream you have to know that as well as the similarities between "fruitless" complaining and indifference..

Well I recall growing up, all along the TV talking about the bill for past greed and waste to be paid by future generations,,,

I guess this is what happens when the credit score hit's the 8's and we're on the verge of forclosure.

Why should a moraly bankrupt nation have full coffers anyway.

Fuck Obama, Fuck Romney, Fuck Paul... Fuck em all, each and every one and their minions right along with them.

Vote no confidence to the current regime in Washington and let's set this shit up right for once!

I do get what your saying and we are intitled to be angry if we choose to be, "I guess".

I hope you find peace though and try to be a little optimistic so that you may not set limits to yourself... Off topic I know but really your gonna get an ulsar thats not healthy..

Quite Optimistic actually though I suppose my wording can appear to be quite passionate at times but thats for a reader to decide and an author to hope for in the end.

Heartburn yes, but thats more the result of current low quality dietary habits rather than any true sense of stress about anything really.
    No fear of ulcers here.

And thanks for the concern. :2thumbsup:

Not everyone CAN vote. In many (perhaps most?) states convicted felons cannot vote, in effect disinfranchising them. I think taking away a person's right to have a voice( however small and perhaps even pointless) in their government is wrong.
As some people have said the game is rigged, are choices are all too often limited to electing the lesser of two evils or wasting our vote on someone that would be a good choice but has no chance of winning. Is there hope for America? Perhaps not but you have to do something. Obama is at least better than Bush or the GOP offerings I see on TV now. Pressed Rat says:
Besides, this country is already gone -- call it defeatism or call it realism, I don't care

But his photo shows him holding a single candle in a glass jar and lighting a single candle is better than cursing the darkness. Cast a vote, write your elected officials, go to the streets and protest, post on forums, perform an act of kindness, go solar, recycle, do something, do anything. Small actions are all we can do and it is the only hope we have.

I feel that our so-called Bi-Partisan government is just a front for corporate imperialism. My vote is valid in local concerns, but Washington owned by the big corporations.

You have every right to complain if you don't vote as you were not the person who put them there. You didn't ask for puppet A or puppet B therefore you can complain about anything. It's the voters that ruined it. We don't need babysitters and anarchy without government is the mythical boogyman. It's like the quote by someone I can't be arsed looking up that says 'what if war was declared and no one turned up'. We should give it a go at the polls. Karma.x

    I said it depends..

I don't vote, so I really don't feel it's my place to speak out

But if every candidate was promising peace and ending the debt and bettering the educational system and universal health care and all that nice shit, you don't vote so one of these sheep gets elected and goes completely against it and destroys the economy and brings down the military and our country gets ass raped from behind, then yeah, I'd be pissed off and say something about it

    Ridgestrider -
I recently checked into the 'Convicted Felon' thing, and
convicted felons can indeed vote in a Presidential election - it is a Federal
election, not a state election! So, that's good news for you! For many years, the misinformation was put out there that convicted felons were not allowed to vote - and I'm not clear if they changed the rule or if they just lied about it, but regardless, Convicted Felons can register to vote for the Presidential election this year - I saw the form when I registered to vote.

I like everything else you said except for the misunderstanding that we will be limited to picking between the lesser of two evils this year. I predict that Ron Paul's strategy is that he will withdraw from the Republican party at the last minute and run as the third party as an Independent party - so we'll have three choices this election! He had to go Republican for the primaries because in 2008 when he ran fully Independent, they prevented him from participating in any of the debates, etc.; because "he wasn't a Democrat or Republican." What jerks! The fact that he is not winning the primaries will not prevent him from being elected President if we all support him! He currently has the entire group of the "Veterans of America" behind him - every vet who served in the military is behind Ron Paul! That should tell you something! As well, everyone who registered as neither a Democrat of Republican will vote for him - he has a good chance to win if
we get the word out that it is not hopeless if we all spread the word that the only chance we have to "Restore America" is if Ron Paul is at the helm.

You said, "Obama is at least better than Bush or the GOP offerings I see on TV now." NO, NO, No, Ridgestrider! Obama is not better! He has made everything worse - he signed that senate bill S1867, after he promised us citizens he wouldn't do so! Do yourself and all of us a favor and go check out Ron Paul's website to see what he stands for. Decide for yourself; he's the man.

I really liked your last statement about "performing an act of kindness; do something." That's cool.

Seized By Anger .... that picture that you have in your posts is really heavy - as well, the caption beneath it. But the buildings in the picture look like where I imagine we will all be living after the election, if we don't elect Ron Paul - he is our only hope. If he does not get elected as President, I sense horrendous doom for us all - like, living in buildings that look like the ones in your picture; or far worse.
