Dated one for nearly two years, was even engaged. Novelty soon wears thin. I find Chinese (Han) to be very good at making all sorts of sweet promises and saying great words...But as soon as trouble strikes (illness, loss of job, etc.) they are out the door. And obsession with money and/or career is very true. I lived in (Northeastern part) China for two years and was always told by the girls that their parents told them only to marry a man who earned more than them and could buy a house. Chinese seem to marry generally for practicality way more than love (though they looove the western romance movies)

I got sick and even when I was lying in bed sick I was hounded about my career. Shameful.

It's time to grow up sweetheart and realize that generalizations in life never work.
Saying white men prefer Asian women (which encompasses a lot of cultures) is the same as saying men prefer blondes, or tall women, or short women. It's not smart to generalize and even worst, believe that you are worth more just because of your race... Get over it!

 

Guys, settle down. If she is from China, of course she is sheltered by our standards. But it is somehwat unfair to judge her buy our standards because from my experience over there, it is a cultural thing. Plus, if she is from a small town, these kind of questions, though innocent and maybe naive to the western eye, truly are legit because a lot of Chinese outside the major cities have never met a foreigner.

 

Aesthetically speaking - absolutely not.

 

A young Asian woman I work with, even if I accidently bump my foot against hers under a table at work, she gets really agro & complains even thou its an accident. I don't know why she gets so grumpy ! I don't know if its something that's considered bad in the part of the world she came from.
