So, in answer to the thread question, then you qualify as a 'pusher-outer' (hate that term 'spit'). In the '70s and '80s swallowing was simply the way it was done by most experienced ladies (not counting the newbies to the art). To summarize: Basically the two small academic studies used self-reported assessments by females of their moods and activity levels as related to periods of time with or without ingestion of semen. As can be imagined, it was tricky to construct a completely neutral questionnaire, but they did a good job of it.

The upshot and conclusions were that while they didn't find a strong correlation there, there was enough of a connection of positive mood and activity alteration "to warrant further study". Their premise was that the male hormones in semen would be absorbed through the digestive system and into the bloodstream, similarly to anti-depressant medications. More so than that taken in through vaginal blood vessel absorption.

They were well-constructed explorations, ruling out as many outside variables as they could.
