Do You Remember When?

I remember when one could go into Tesco and buy cassettes. Now they are all extinct and lay as a caveman exibit of the 20th century.I remember when vinyl played a major part in sales. Sadly many vinyls were lost. Now thats what call music 35 was the volume that saw the last vinyl edition.

I remember when we had that heatwave in 1995. Everyone ended up jumping off Caversham bridge and into the Thames at the Womad festival.

 

yeah man, I remember the great war of the last millennium. The price war between the 3 major supermarkets back in 1998 that is! Bread went down to 7p and beans down to 3p, eggs reached a record breaking 12p. I was a student then, £5 for a weekly shop and that was with cookies and crisps and pasta!

Does anybody remember what a Tonka toy was?

 

Mine was a big yellow dumper truck.

 

I bet that dumper truck is still around somewhere, they guaranteed indestructibility, I think they use them for the black boxes on planes now!

 

tonka yeah remember them man "anyone remember dinky toys ? " we lived close to the factory back then and used to sneak in were skips were and fill plassy bags up with all the reject ones (3 wheeler trucks ) those were the days .

 

I had a big green tonka truck and trailer. Still have it in the cupboard back home, won't let Mum throw it out. Anyone remember Weebles?
