Somebody else may have covered this, but we didn't evolve from monkeys. We seem to be closest to chimps and bonobos, who share 98.8% of DNA with us. We and they shared a common ancestor six or seven million years ago. With rhesus monkeys, we share only 93% of DNA, so the divergence from a common ancestor with them happened even longer ago. Scientists tell us humans are still evolving.

Humans are Still Evolving - Here's the Evidence
No, Humans Have Not Stopped Evolving
    How Are Humans Still Evolving?
Make no mistake, humans are still evolving. But what will the future hold?
Improvements in health care and technology allow individuals who are less fit to survive, thus slowing the pace of evolution. But human populations have changed and are changing to adapt to different environments: altitudes, sun exposure, immunities to disease, etc. Environmental pressures like disease or limited resources ensure that individuals with certain genes leave behind more offspring than others. Maybe in another few million years, our descendants will be a lot different from us. Same goes for monkeys. But it's highly unlikely they, or even chimps or bonobos, will ever be like us, since the process involves so many random elements.

Chimps and bonobos did not have access to: speed, meth, fentanyl, alcohol, junk food, welfare, TV, porn, cars, boats, airplanes, Internet, overly permissive society.

Other life could coexist in another spatial dimension, for example, even another human civilization, theoretically, or some weirdo entangled hybrid.

Not to mention nukes, global warming, AI, the NRA, Fox News, Alex Jones,Putin, Xi, Kim Jong-un, De(In)santis and the Donald. That's true. Some species do take a wrong evolutionary turn, and do go extinct. Planet of the Apes, Part 10 comin' up?

If there is such a thing. So far, just speculation.

Oh yeah, total speculation, and perhaps totally unprovable. But it's fun to consider!

What you say about our current evolution speed up is so true. To me, it is no coincidence that following the Roswell incident, fibre optics are now the backbone of our communication, replacing bouncing microwaves off satellites.
With our evolution suggesting that highly advanced civilisations came and went tens of thousands of years ago, do you consider whether humans are native to this planet. My teacher back in the 1960's who designed the UK radar defence systems during WW2, that with the then current theories should not have worked, suggested otherwise.
He also took us to stonehenge and made numerous suggestions of why it was built and how it worked. I often thought that he was trying to tell us something.

In recent years, there have been rumors and claims of sightings of alien ships, but it's crucial to approach such reports with skepticism. Many of these stories can be attributed to misinterpretations, hoaxes, or natural phenomena that are mistaken for extraterrestrial activity.

For these types of statements that go beyond observable evidence, I believe that it comes down to personal choice whether to believe or not. And they will exist either way. By applying confirmation biases, you can support your position and be content with it.

Maybe, our visitors altered our DNA with another similar species to make us advance Intelectually, much how a farmer/ arborist would gaft a tree to an already established rooted tree.
You could be partially correct .

Sure, humans are quite extraordinary animals! But why is it so difficult to believe we humans are just the product of native evolution? Humanity had to come from somewhere. Why not right here?

Yeah. Somewhere, sometime, I do believe other intelligent life sprung forth. That's something I'm comfortable believing.

I have a penchant towards diving headfirst into any and all things that claim aliens are already here and that disclosure is going to fully happen soon. I want it to be true so, so bad. I also think it's likely. But I wouldn't bet the farm on it is all.

The existence of aliens, or extraterrestrial life, is a subject of scientific and philosophical speculation. While there is currently no conclusive evidence of intelligent extraterrestrial civilizations, many scientists believe it is possible, given the vast number of planets in the universe and the conditions necessary for life as we know it.

I have a fantasy there is extraterrestrial life and that it is superior to terrestrial life, because there is a lot of terrestrial life that is a bunch of idiots that are causing a lot of harm through their hate, fear, ignorance and irresponsibility. But I digress.

What is life? What is a life form? We have plenty of life forms on our planet. Many are like us with warm bodies and the need for oxygen, sunlight, water, and food to exist. But the main reason for existence is a purpose. Without a purpose for existence a life form will die away. We have other life forms we, as humans, have created. Your automobile is a human created life form. It needs food of some sort and a purpose to exist. It also need to be commanded to live and be sustained for continued life while it does rudimentary thinking on its own. It can be commanded and set for a speed. Cruise control. The automobile processes inputs for several sources and has a thought pattern that processes those inputs in order to maintain the speed commanded. It does other thought processing too. We ask it to maintain a temperature inside the cabin and it does so by regulating a heat transfer process and airflow speed. By pushing a button on an external device the vehicle is prompted to open a door. It receives the input, processes a thought pattern, and opens the door. It is not unlike a husband opening the door for his wife when she asks him to. These are very rudimentary thought patterns but patterns that life forms have.

We, as a species, have sent life forms forth from our planet exploring our solar system. Their basic thought patterns are to record and send data discovered as they travel the solar system. As long as they have food through solar energy and a purpose they survive and continue with their life long task. It could be that, as presented in the first Star Trek movie, one of these life forms will encounter other life in the galaxy and be returned to its creator with the data it knows it must gather.

Yes, there are many other life forms not only on this planet but elsewhere in the universe. Life forms that the present human mind cannot comprehend just yet.

If there are other civilizations in other galaxies, I hope the inhabitants have matured beyond those that inhabit this one. Do "we " really still allow people the world over to starve? Are some humans actually still at war with other humans? Do we not have a limit on the amount of humans being born? Are we still extracting the resources of the planet with no end in sight? We're a pretty sorry lot , IMO.

To answer the thread............not until i see more proof then we have now, i know most ufo/alien stuff and keep track............:D

I do believe they are probabely out there(statistics), but havent seen any "real" proof they are actually here......

I think/hope it would probabely be a good thing if they really showed up..............maybe worldwide, people would realise we need to act as one planet/humanity. Or they just kill us because we are a bit useless.............;)
